URGENT ACTION NEEDED: Stop Congress from BANNING future protections for endangered species and REPEA

URGENT ACTION NEEDED: Stop Congress from BANNING future protections for endangered species and REPEALING existing ones! >> URGENT ACTION NEEDED: Stop Congress from BANNING future protections for endangered species and REPEALING existing ones! >> This is an all hands on deck moment, Friend. The Endangered Species Act (ESA) is one of our bedrock environmental laws. It protects some of your favorite species like grizzly bears and gray wolves from CRUEL KILLINGS by trophy hunters. It also blocks fossil fuel drilling in critical habitats, protecting our lands and communities from greedy polluters. But extremists in Congress have proposed new legislation that would ROLL BACK critical ESA rules – and PERMANENTLY BAN any rules that are even remotely similar! I can’t overstate how much of an absolute disaster that would be, Friend – and it’s why I need you to take IMMEDIATE ACTION to protect endangered species and our nation’s bedrock environmental law! [Tell Congress to OPPOSE any attempts to gut the Endangered Species Act by 11:59 pm TONIGHT!]( [Sign the petition]( Here’s why the Endangered Species Act is important, Friend. In addition to direct protections for threatened animals, it’s also a critical tool for activists and organizations like Friends of the Earth to fight back against fossil fuel expansion and other greedy polluters. With a weakened ESA, more of America’s wilderness will be opened to fracking, drilling, and mining. Our beautiful natural landscapes are being destroyed, paved over, and polluted more and more every day. We need to do everything in our power to protect the places we have left. [Please, Friend, stand up to extremists in Congress and greedy polluters: protect the Endangered Species Act before it’s too late!]( [Sign the petition]( Standing with you, Kayla Mohammed, Federal Policy Advocate, Friends of the Earth Contact Us: Friends of the Earth U.S. Washington, D.C. | Berkeley, CA PO Box 7010 Merrifield, VA 22116-7010 1-877-843-8687 [Contact us](foe.org/about-us/contact/) Email Preferences: [Click here to unsubscribe]( Learn more: www.foe.org/news www.foe.org/about-us www.foeaction.org Connect: [Facebook]( [Twitter]( [Flickr]( © 2024, Friends of the Earth.
