Don’t stand by while grizzlies are under attack. Donate $10 today toward our $3,500 midnight goal for wildlife and the planet! Dear Friend, Don’t stand by while grizzlies are under attack. A few feet away, her mangled body lies in a pool of her blood. A trophy hunter baited her out of the den before gunning her down with no remorse. This poor cub is now an orphan – and he has virtually no shot at survival without his mama. He now faces a gruesome death: starvation, hypothermia, or a bullet from the same hunter’s gun. [Friend, no animal should face this fate. Please, donate $10 today and help us reach our $3,500 midnight goal before another bear family is ripped at the seams.]( This tragic tale could soon become reality for many innocent bears. Right now, grizzlies are emerging from their dens after a long hibernation. Weak, tired, and hungry, they are vulnerable and defenseless. They wouldn’t stand a chance against vicious trophy hunters waiting in the shadows to BRUTALLY ATTACK and kill them. These hunters don’t want to give bears the mercy of a swift death. Grizzlies in Alaska are already facing the horrors they plan to unleash: hunters set out steel traps under the snow, leaving bears struggling to escape for DAYS while their blood dyes the snow red. They unleash hunting dogs to chase down and tear apart innocent bears in an unfair fight. They even DYNAMITE nursing mothers and their cubs in their dens – homes that are meant to be safe havens for these terrified creatures. This isn’t right, Friend. Innocent wildlife shouldn’t be tortured for the sake of “fun.” But now hunters are attacking protections for grizzlies in the lower 48 states – which means this endangered species could be the next sacrifice. Bears are in imminent danger this spring. Donate $10 today and help us reach our $3,500 goal before the clock strikes midnight! But their populations have since plummeted. And a huge culprit has been human impact. Excessive hunting and trapping have decimated their numbers. And human-caused habitat loss puts grizzlies at serious risk. Today, their habitats continue to shrink. Their food sources are increasingly hard to find. And climate change is driving them closer to the brink of extinction. As a result, fewer and fewer cubs are surviving to reach adulthood. And adult bears are dying at alarming rates, too. Soon, things could get even worse for grizzlies. States in the northern Rockies are working to remove ESA protections for these threatened animals. If they succeed, there will be devastating impacts. Trophy hunters could be allowed to kill grizzlies indiscriminately, and with no consequences. And once grizzlies are driven out of their lands, Big Polluters will swoop in. They have hopes to open these lands up for mining, logging, and other planet-harming practices. Friend, it’s clear that we could lose grizzlies without urgent action. Plain and simple, they can’t afford to lose their life-saving protections. And our planet can’t afford it, either. That’s why I’m reaching out to you today. There’s never been a better time to stand up for grizzlies and the planet. Will you fight with us today to help strengthen the Endangered Species Act and protect vulnerable wildlife and the planet while there’s still time to act? Don’t let greedy interests endanger wildlife and the planet any longer. Donate $10 today before grizzlies are lost forever. If you've saved payment information with ActBlue Express, your donation will go through immediately: [Donate $10 immediately]( [Donate $27 immediately]( [Donate $50 immediately]( [Donate another amount]( Grizzly bears play an essential role in the circle of life. When they hunt, they regulate prey populations – protecting plants from overgrazing. That’s why it’s so important that grizzlies remain protected under the Endangered Species Act. These laws don’t just protect bears, though. They provide critical protection for America’s species and the lands they roam. They’re also some of our most effective safeguards in the fight to protect our planet from fossil fuel exploitation and curb catastrophic climate change. At Friends of the Earth, we’re fighting to strengthen the Endangered Species Act and all of the wildlife that depends on it. We've collected thousands of comments from supporters just like you urging our leaders to protect this vital legislation. And with your help, we’re pushing back against attacks on the Endangered Species Act and the greedy corporations that want to dismantle it. But the fight is far from over, Friend. Your membership support to Friends of the Earth today will help fuel our work to push back against these private interests aiming to weaken the ESA in order to hunt down vulnerable species like bears, wreaking havoc on their environments, and contributing to the ecological destruction on our planet. Join the fight for our planet and precious wildlife before they are hunted to extinction, and make your $10 membership contribution today! Grizzly bears and our planet are on the line. Don’t let greedy interests win: Donate $10 today and help us hit our $3,500 goal by midnight TONIGHT!
