URGENT ACTION NEEDED: Stop FRACKING near Theodore Roosevelt National Park and protected conservation

URGENT ACTION NEEDED: Stop FRACKING near Theodore Roosevelt National Park and protected conservation areas! >> Sign now! URGENT ACTION NEEDED: Stop FRACKING near Theodore Roosevelt National Park and protected conservation areas! >> [Sign now!]( Picture this: a painted sunrise over rolling hills and rocky mounds. In the valley below, bison lap water from a crystal-clear stream. Soon, not far from here, giant metal contraptions could begin to shake the earth, spew pollution into the air, and contaminate water sources! Friend, 3,173 acres of public lands in North Dakota could soon be at the mercy of greedy fossil fuel companies – including land next to the Theodore Roosevelt National Park! The land parcels in question also overlap with FEDERALLY PROTECTED “roadless areas.” This lease sale is moving forward anyway – and we only have until April 10th to submit comments to stop it! [Tell the Department of Interior to SAVE our precious public lands from greedy corporations!]( [SIGN THE PETITION]( Fracking on public lands can negatively impact surrounding communities. In fact, fracking can sometimes trigger earthquakes and its wastewater can contain radioactive materials that contaminate drinking water! Even if neither of those occur, the air pollution and sulfurous smells can still provoke NAUSEA and BLISTERING HEADACHES for people living nearby. The Department of Interior’s job is to manage and protect our public lands, not to give them away to whichever fossil fuel corporation is willing to fork over the most cash. YOU can help us make them see that – and STOP this lease sale. [Sign to help us hit our goal of 4,178 more signatures by 11:59pm TONIGHT!
