VC + Startups 🎯 - Rex, a Berlin-based pet tech startup raises EUR5 million to build veterinary practices of the future. It aims to digitalise vet care, focusing on customer experience, digitises processes and first-class care. - Sympower, an Amsterdam-based green tech startup raises EUR22 million for its proprietary software platform that is accelerating the transition to net-zero. Last year, it doubled its customers and 3x its sales. - Casavo, an Italian proptech startup raises EUR400 million to expand across Europe. Casavo offers free appraisals to sellers, generates a quick offer, buys it, and then renovates it to sell at a profit. - Tedooo, a Tel Aviv-based social network marketed toward the trade world, raises USD3 million in seed funding. The platform is designed to help boost and create global trade communities via partnerships between sellers and buyers. It's currently focused on handmade crafts and DIY. - Contentsquare, a platform that allows businesses to track online customer behavior to inform digital strategies, raises USD600 million at a USD5.6 billion valuation. The platform uses algos to generate insights. Crypto 👾 - Web3 infrastructure provider Polygon launches a new scaling solution to further cut costs on the Ethereum network. The solution is called zero-knowledge Ethereum Virtual Machine, also referred to as "zkEVM". c - Coinbase said it has no financial exposure to the three crypto firms (Three Arrows Capital, Voyager, Celsius) that have recently filed for bankruptcy, shaking the industry. c - South Korea is postponing its 20% tax on crypto gains to 2025, citing stagnant market conditions and the time required for the preparation of investor protection measures.
