Hi {NAME} I would like to welcome you to FlightSim.Com. Since 1996 this web site has been the home of the flight simulation community on the web and we are glad to have you as a member. The hobby revolves around several popular flight simulator programs. FlightSim.Com does not provide any of this software but it is widely available, including from online sources like the FS Pilot Shop (). FlightSim.Com is a support site for enthusiasts. There is so much on the web site it can be a little intimidating at first so let me give you some help getting started. First off, if you just want to explore you can reach any part of the site by use the blue menu bar across the top of any page. If you are new to flight simulation, I suggest you start with this article: That same article is also useful if you are just new to this web site and need some help finding and using the many files in our library. For some sims we have "hangars" that aggregate a lot of wisdom about them. FSX: FS2004: X-Plane: Prepar3D: Our most popular feature is our file library, offering many thousands of mostly free add-ons for popular sims. Use the "File Library" link on our blue menu bar to reach all parts of the file library. To take full advantage of the library, make sure to learn to use our powerful search functions; this article explains how: To meet and interact with other flightsimmers be sure to use our message forums (under "Forum" in the blue menu bar). This is the place to ask questions and exchange information. Please note that we love real world aviation too and have an extensive section of the forums devoted to that: If you think what we do here is worthwhile, consider supporting the site by getting a First Class Membership: Finally, please make sure to personalize your account; here's an article how: --Nels Anderson webmaster@flightsim.com
