[1 Million for Work Flexibility]
FIND US ON THE WEB
Dear {NAME},
We had a team call this week, and one of my colleagues was describing an experience during a trip his family took to Zion National Park in Utah. He was saying how hot it was, in the 100s, but then when they went into the slot canyons it was down into the 70s.
This has been making me think what a difference a relatively small change can make! Unexpected changes and unforeseen opportunities - both good and bad - can happen really at any time. For me, I try to handle this by doing my best, as cliche as it might sound, as well as keeping my eyes open to the [positive chances that might be around me even in the midst of challenging times]. I also try to embrace surprises, and try to at least occasionally get out of my comfort zone. Broaden my horizons, so to speak.
In a job search, this is important too. Whether you're looking for a new job, a different job, a better job, or just any job, remind yourself to get out of your comfort zone sometimes. Try new tactics, put yourself out there even if it's intimidating, and [don't be afraid of rejection]. Remind yourself that it's temporary discomfort and is part of the process to a more positive place. :-)
In the meantime, please read on for more insight, tips, and great job leads. As always, thank you so much for allowing us to be a trusted resource in your job search for telecommuting, freelance, part-time, and any and all flexible jobs. And if you decide to [use FlexJobs to get a leg up in your job search], be sure to enter promo code "NEWSLETTER" to get 30% off! Many cheers,

Tell me about yourself. Be honest, in reading that, did you automatically start to feel a little anxious? Thereâs a reason this "question" (though really it's a command) is so difficult for job seekers to tackle. It's very open-ended, and without any direction, a job seeker could take the conversation in any number of directions. The key for job seekers to respond well to "tell me about yourself" is to prepare a response ahead of time.
