But starting today, youâll be able to apply these Snapchat-powered capabilities in other apps. Snap just announced a new business unit, AR Enterprise Services (ARES), thatâll equip retailers with tools so you can try on clothes, jewelry, and more from various brands â all from the comfort of your home. The new ARES business aims to help retailers increase conversions and reduce return rates with augmented reality shopping tools. To this end, ARES will provide its customers with professional services, including product marketing to customer support. Growth in global capacity â encompassing offshore and onshore wind â dropped 15 percent last year. The decline in new offshore wind installations was more stark, falling 46 percent from 2021. Until last year, winds looked favorable for the industry. Turbines have gotten significantly cheaper over the past couple decades. Governments are setting targets to bring more renewable energy online. And within a few years, renewable sources of electricity like wind and solar are expected to dominate global power sector growth. Android users should soon be able to log in to PayPalâs website using passkeys, the password-free login system thatâs being pushed by Apple, Google, Microsoft, the FIDO alliance, and more. According to an announcement post, the feature is currently rolling out, and will be âmore widely available over the coming year.â PayPal says that the rollout will start on its website, rather than its app, and that you have to be running Chrome on Android 9 or up to access passkeys. If itâs available for your account, you may get a prompt asking if you want to create a passkey, which you can authenticate using the biometric system or passcode that you use to unlock your phone. Dear Reader, In March of last year, millionaire trader Jeff Clark predicted âtrouble aheadâ for the tech market. That very day, bigâname stocks like Amazon, Netflix, and Facebook collapsed⦠falling as much as 50% in the weeks and months that followed. He predicted the 2020 crash 10 months in advance⦠And he even warned about the 2008 crash. Now Jeffâs coming forward with a brand new forecast â only itâs unlike any of his past predictions. Itâs directly connected to the money in your wallet. [Get the details here.]( Sincerely, Andrew Miller

According to a post from the company, a bug in an open source library called redis-py created a caching issue that may have shown some active users the last four digits and expiration date of another userâs credit card, along with their first and last name, email address, and payment address. Users also may have seen snippets of othersâ chat histories as well. This isnât the first time caching issues have caused users to see each other peopleâs data â famously, on Christmas Day in 2015, Steam users were served pages with information from other usersâ accountsâ¦. Thereâs a lot to unpack here. First, the announcement isnât necessarily a surprise. CEO Elon Musk has been promising to get rid of âlegacyâ blue check marks, or verification badges that were given under Twitterâs previous rules, since November, and heâs reiterated that theyâd be going away âin coming monthsâ several times. According to Musk, those verification badges were given out in a âcorrupt and nonsensicalâ manner (though they are in fact quite useful for letting users confirm that the⦠[finance high tech]( This editorial email containing advertisements was sent to ... because you subscribed to this service.
