Hi {NAME}, Quick fairy tale recap: Our girl Cinderella was stuck in a pretty crummy situation wit

Hi {NAME}, Quick fairy tale recap:  Our girl Cinderella was stuck in a pretty crummy situation with her new relatives.  More than anything, she wanted to go to a really great party.  But, she didn’t have the right outfit, shoes, or a way to get there.  She does some crying, she does some wishing, and this crazy lady with a wand shows up and gives her everything she needs.  No matter what you think of the morals and messages of the story, we can pretty much agree that that’s the gist, right?  For a lot (if not most) things in our lives, though, it’s not a LACK of things that are holding us back.  Most of us could be our own Fairy Godmothers or Fairy Godfathers if we wanted to. We know what we need and we could very likely get them.  So, if it’s a not lack of resources that’s holding us back, what is it?  Generally, it’s fear, plain and simple.  You want to talk to that attractive someone across the room but you don’t. Fear  You want to write that novel but you don’t. Fear.  You want to join that CrossFit gym but you don’t. Fear.  You want to create a well-paying, fulfilling job that you’ll love but you don’t. Yup, fear.  And so today, I’m going to help you dismantle some of the biggest fears keeping you from your changing your career and changing your life. Ready? Let’s jump in:  “I’m afraid of prospecting for clients!”  There are very few people in this world who relish talking to strangers.  And even fewer people who relish not only talking to strangers, but then trying to sell them something!  So if this is your fear, congratulations: You’re in good company.  And, I’m happy to say, this is also one of the easiest fears to dismantle.  There are two key things you need to know about how we teach client prospecting in the Comprehensive Copywriting Academy:  First, we teach you a system that takes all of the guesswork out of prospecting. Instead of knocking on doors or cold calling people, we’ve systematized exactly how to reach out to prospects, nurture them, and close the deal.  And it’s plug and play! You could use our system and say, “Okay, Mondays are going to be prospecting day” and Monday mornings, for an hour or two, - You do the research (the way we teach you to), - You craft your emails (the way we teach you to), - You send them out (you’ve probably got that down), - And then you follow up (the way we teach you to. You don’t have to figure anything out on your own!  And then second key point is that, with this system, you don’t even have to talk to anyone until you know they’re at least somewhat interested!  We’ve systematized prospecting, and we’ve made that system easy.  Fear #2! “I’m afraid it won’t work for me.”  Let me ask you a question: When you plug an address into GPS, do you spend the entire drive worried that you’ll never get to your destination?  Of course not! You know that if you follow the directions it gives you, you’ll get there.  The CCA is the same way. We give you the exact steps to get there.  Plus, we also give you the professional support from our team and the community support from your fellow students to keep you on that path and following those steps.  It works when you work it. Just plug in the destination (full-time, on-staff job, contracting work, or freelance work) and follow the steps we give you to get there.  You’ll arrive at your destination.  Fear #3:  “I’m afraid copywriting isn’t for me.”  This one is a tricky one—because it seems like a valid objection, right? Sure! You don’t want to get training in something if it’s not right for you.  But there are two problems with that logic:  - You can’t know if it’s not for you until you try it. And you can’t try it until you dig in and get some training and experience. So being afraid it’s not for you is actually one of the reasons you should try it out. It’s the only way to know—and be sure you’re not missing out on the perfect career for you.  - It doesn’t actually matter whether it’s right for you or not. It’s true. It doesn’t matter at all. Here’s why: When you follow the steps in the CCA, you’ll land clients. And those clients will pay you. And, because you won’t be able to be sure it’s not for you until you’ve worked with a few clients (say, two or three), the money you make will pay for the program.  In fact, it’s more likely that it will make you much more money than what you paid for the CCA. So this little experiment of seeing if copywriting is right for you is actually going to earn you money! (Plus give you a skill that makes you more marketable in just about any industry.)  Think of it this way. If someone said, “You have to pay $5,000 for this zookeeping course. But within a month, being a zookeeper can pay you $10,000, whether you stick with zookeeping or not.” It just makes sense to do it, right? (And we’re not talking anywhere near a $5,000 investment.)  Your fears have one job: To keep you in your nice, safe, same life. Even if you’re desperate for a change, your brain is WIRED to kick up a fuss and make you afraid to do it.  It’s up to you to see through your fears and take action anyway. Still a little unclear on this idea?
