Will stunned political experts in 2022 when he came so close to winning against right-wing Republica

Will stunned political experts in 2022 when he came so close to winning against right-wing Republican, Ken Calvert. [Will Rollins and Barbara Boxer]( Robert, I’ve got a huge announcement that should bring a smile to your face and hope to your heart: former federal prosecutor, Will Rollins announced his campaign for Congress in California’s 41st district -- one of the most important races in the country in the effort by Democrats to retake the House. Will stunned political experts in 2022 when he came so close to winning against right-wing Republican, Ken Calvert. It ended up being one of the closest races in the country. He outperformed every projection and was the only Democratic challenger in California to win the independent vote. That’s a big deal. There is no question in my mind that in this upcoming election, with the Presidency on the ballot, the larger turnout will be the key to victory IF we have a strong campaign. I have committed my energy, time, and money to this race, and today I am asking you to start Will off with a show of support that will send him a message that we are behind him 100 percent. [I’ll share more about why I'm backing Will, but first, I have an important request: Could you split a $10 donation between Will’s campaign and Fight for Progress to help him launch with strength? Will can win this thing, so please donate now.]( [CONTRIBUTE $5]( [CONTRIBUTE $25]( [CONTRIBUTE $50]( Here’s why Democrats across the country should pay close attention to this race: 1. We need candidates like Will in Congress. As a former federal prosecutor, he understands the ongoing danger that extremism poses to our democracy. He brought justice to insurrectionists, and I know he'll take the oath to defend democracy as seriously now as he did in the Justice Department. 2. Retaking the House runs through CA-41. After the new lines were drawn, CA-41 became a true swing seat. It’s the type of district Democrats MUST WIN to regain Congress. 3. GOP super PACs. Despite the tough midterm environment in 2022, Will was the third most “overperforming” Dem challenger in the country. He was also heavily outspent by the GOP’s dark money machine. If Democrats help Will keep pace, he can flip this seat! 4. Will’s opponent Ken Calvert has got to go. Calvert voted to overturn the 2020 presidential election. He backs the extreme ban on abortion -- including for instances of rape and wants doctors who perform them to go to jail. CA-41 is home to one of the most LGBTQ-friendly cities in Palm Springs, yet Calvert staunchly opposes gay marriage. The rematch is on, folks. Will came so close to winning in 2022, and this is our chance to finish the job. But it depends on widespread, grassroots support. [Please split a $10 contribution between Will Rollins’ campaign for Congress and Fight for Progress today. I’m telling you, this will be one of the most critical races in the country, so don’t sit this one out! We need lots of Democrats to step up right out of the gate.]( [CONTRIBUTE $5]( [CONTRIBUTE $10]( [CONTRIBUTE $25]( [CONTRIBUTE $50]( [OTHER AMOUNT]( Thanks, Barbara Boxer Former U.S. Senator, California --------------------------------------------------------------- Paid for by Fight for Progress PAC and not authorized by any candidate or any candidate's committee.
