I believe deeply in practicing abundance. Whatever signal you send into the world gets sent back to

I believe deeply in practicing abundance. Whatever signal you send into the world gets sent back to you. If you send out scarcity you’ll get scarcity back. If you send out abundance, you’ll get it back. The best money advice I ever heard was from my friend’s dad. I never even met the guy but his son told it to me and it changed my life. He said "If you believe money is a scarce resource, it is one. If you believe it’s an abundant resource, it becomes one." I heard that when I was still in college and had a time fully understanding it. I was raised super frugal. I read menus at restaurants right to left. What’s the cheapest item? I’ll take that. As a kid I hoarded money and only spent it on things I had saved up for for months. My parents constantly talked about how much things cost…and they still do. I’m telling you this because I want you to know that abundance didn’t always come easy to me. I had to work at it. I still do. You’re never done with your journey of improving your relationship to money. You just get better. Yesterday my girlfriend, her brother, his wife, and I took a ferry from Nice to St. Tropez. We all met up in France for a week to have some fun during their honey moon. The ferry took two and a half hours. The water wasn’t too choppy but Kristen (Whitney’s sister in law) gets sea sick easily and wasn’t feeling great for a lot of the ride. While Kristen was feeling sick I threw out the idea of taking a helicopter back. It wasn’t really a serious comment but it also kinda was. We had already paid for the ferry round trip so we weren’t gonna have to pay a dime more for that. After a couple hours of walking around St Tropez I asked Lynn (Whitney’s brother) if he had looked up how much a helicopter would cost. I was expecting it be around $5,000 which just seemed too expensive to me. He said "$2,000." I said "oh shit, that’s not bad. I say we do it. We could split it. Pay $1,000 each." He said "I’m good with that but I don’t wanna have to figure out the details." I’m not normally a details guy but when it involves flying along the French coast in a helicopter I’m shockingly into the details haha. I found a company called Blade that’s basically Uber for helicopters. (Yes, I’m aware of how crazy that sounds haha.) I called them to book a helicopter and they said they could pick us up in a van in an hour and take us to the helipad. I gave her my credit card info and then something interesting happened. I couldn’t stop smiling. It was like my face had a problem. I walked back into the restaurant with a massive shit-eating grin on my face. "We’re booked." We cheers our drinks and got excited. Then we talked a bit about money and our beliefs about it. It’s interesting because renting a helicopter for a 20 minute flight seems a bit outrageous to most people. Myself included. But as I thought about it more, it made more sense. $1,000 isn’t something I was going to notice missing from my bank account. However, I would definitely notice flying in a helicopter along the French coast. It would be a memory I’d have forever. And it would take 2 hours less to get back to our hotel. But for me it was really about the experience. I love doing exciting shit. I love having experiences that are uncommon. So that’s how I made the decision. What’s more important to me? $1,000 in my account? Or an unforgettable helicopter flight? For me, it was the helicopter flight. And more importantly…it’s not as binary a question as it might seem. See, did paying $1,000 for a helicopter flight actually cost me $1,000? Or did it signal abundance to my nervous system and make me more likely to make a bunch of money? That’s what I wanna talk about tomorrow because this email has gotten long. Talk soon, Ian "helicopters are a LOT of fun" Stanley P.S. I created a course called the 7 day money morning challenge that shows you how to make more in the first hour of your day than most people make in a day. [ Click here to check it out]( P.P.S. The helicopter ride was amazing. The van took us to a vineyard in the countryside where a helicopter was waiting for us. It felt fake. It was 100% worth every penny. Here's some pics from the journey... Sent to: {EMAIL} [Unsubscribe]( Almost Passive Income, 3000 Mountain Shadow Rd, Boise, ID 83702, United States
