He's a genius ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ I asked Whitney to pause the tv while I was sitting in the sauna. "Rewind it a little please." I said. We were watching the final episode of the Conor McGregor documentary on Netflix. For those of you who live under a rock, Conor is the most famous UFC fighter of all-time. I’ve always loved watching Conor speak because he uses words like "visualize" and "believe" all the time. He talks about seeing himself as a champion. Seeing himself holding the world championship belts. I was actually at the fight at Madison Square Garden with my Irish buddy when Conor won two belts at the same time. (Which is its own fascinating story for another day.) But when he said what he said in this documentary it was an entirely different way of thinking than I’d heard from him before. So I transcribed this little clip so I can show it to you… Interviewer: "What do you wanna be?" Conor: "That’s another thing. What do you wanna be? I don’t wanna be anything. I am everything I wanna be. I’m already there, ya know?  I don’t want anything. People say "I want this." Or "I wanna do this or that." But the vibe you’re putting out is want. You’re always going to want. I always have the attitude that I have. I always felt like I was a black belt. You know what I mean? I always felt like I was the world champion. I always felt like I could ALREADY do everything. Know what I mean? But I don’t want anything. I HAVE everything. That’s the mindset. I have everything. I have everything!" When you hear all that you may think Conor was already the world champion at this point. Maybe this was him looking back at his career during an interview. You’d be wrong. This was in 2013. He wouldn’t become a world champion until Dec. 12, 2015. There’s a few parts of what he said that I want to highlight. His energy is not the energy of want. It’s the energy of HAVE. It’s the energy of AM. It’s the energy of ALREADY. It’s the energy of AS IF. He already IS the world champion. Before he became it. You don’t get what you want by wanting it. You get it by becoming it in your mind before you become it in reality. Reality follows energy. That’s why people that are always focused on what they DON’T want to happen tend to see those things happen. They focus on not getting sick and then the next day they’re sick. They focus on the money they DON’T have and they stay poor. I know it’s not always easy to believe a thing that doesn’t seem true yet, but that’s the difference between the people who achieve greatness and the ones that don’t. And I’m not talking about faking it till you make it here. Or ignoring responsibilities. There’s a difference between delusion and vision. But it’s a fine line. During the Reality Engineering virtual workshop I’m gonna talk about how to cultivate the energy of HAVING rather than WANTING. I’ll talk about my personal stories as well…and how I’ve been using this strategy to apply to my skin issues that have been bothering me on and off for years. The virtual workshop will launch next week…more details to come. Talk soon, Ian "HAVE it ALREADY" Stanley P.S.
