This week I’ve talked a lot about how to spend money and what to spend it on. But I haven’t talked about the most important thing you could ever spend your money on. (In my opinion.) So what is it? Investing in yourself. Yeah, cheesy. I know everyone says that. But let me attempt to say it in a slightly different way. I don’t just mean buying courses and reading books. I don’t just mean investing in literal investments. I don’t just mean joining a mastermind group to accelerate your growth. Those things are all great ways to spend money and will likely return more to you than almost anything you could buy. What I’m talking about is investing in the DEEP work. I’m talking about finding out who you are, why you are the way you are, and how to improve the parts of you that need improving. I’ve learned a lot about myself during hard experiences that I’ve signed up for. I’ve done a Navy SEAL hell week recreation. I’ve walked 2 marathons in 2 days while farmer’s carrying 42 pounds of water. I’ve done ice baths in Iceland. I even attended a “murder camp” where I was attacked relentlessly. (Yeah, it’s a long story.) All of those experiences were amazing (not necessarily WHILE I was doing them) and taught me a lot about myself. But nothing compares to the work I did with a coach/therapist guy named Brent Charleton. The work I did with Brent changed my life more than anything else. It completely reshaped who I am as a human being. (In a good way.) I think the biggest thing that separates Brent’s work from all the other “therapies” out there is that it goes to the root of the problem. Think about your mind and emotions as a garden. Most practices just act as weed whackers that get rid of the shit you can see. Is it helpful? Sure. But the weeds are still gonna grow back. Brent’s method is like picking out each weed one at a time by the root. Once you pull it out, it’s gone forever. His work changed my life in such a profound way that he and I ended up partnering in a business together where we helped people work through their deeper mental and emotional blocks. We ran (very successfully) it for 2 years until we stopped. We only stopped because Brent’s demand for 1 on 1 coaching had grown so much that he simply couldn’t do that and our business at the same time. When I met him it was around $30,000 a year to work with him. Which was a LOT of money to me. (I didn’t even have that much money. I had to make payments just to work with him…and it was the best decision I ever made. No exaggeration.) As we grew our business, his demand grew. He started charging $40,000 a year. Then $50,000. Now he charges $125,000 a year to work with him one on one and has a one year waitlist. It’s crazy. But people HAPPILY pay him that much because he’s just that good. I’m eternally grateful to Brent because him and I ran like 40 workshops in two years. For me it was like getting 30 years of therapy in 2 years. However, once we stopped running our business, the only way to work with him was to pay his hefty fees. But for the first time since 2019, he’s created a course that teaches his methods. He’s releasing it for the first time ever next week. I’ll let ya know more details soon. I can safely say that the money I spent on Brent was the best money I ever spent. That’s why I’m so excited to share all this with you. That’s all for now. Talk soon, Ian “do the work” Stanley P.S. A lot of the work I did with Brent is what led me to understanding the “deep money blocks” people have. If you wanna get rid of those blocks you can get my Remove Your Money Blocks course. It’s normally $47 but it’s only $30 until tonight at midnight.
