I didn't do it. ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌

I didn't do it. ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ I failed. A few weeks ago I publicly stated that I'd write an email to my comedy email list at 5 times a week until the end of the year. And if I didn't do it I'd donate $1,000 to a charity I hate. Well, I failed. I didn't do it. In fact, I wasn't even close. I only sent a few emails. The unfortunate reality is I got sick for the first time in years about two days after I made that public proclamation. (Which pains me to admit because I don't believe in getting sick...but that's a longer story for another day.) I wore myself down from the comedy tour, the CopyHour launch, travel, and speaking gigs... I could've still put an email together each day but I didn't. That's on me. So I donated my $1,000...but to a charity I love. (I couldn't bring myself to donate to a shit charity. #sorrynotsorry) Here's the proof... Vivid Roots amazing. They give clean water to people in third world countries. Earlier this year I helped them raise almost $100,000 during my water walk with my buddy Dallas Crum. If you want a charity to donate to, I highly recommend it. Anyways... So now what? Where do we go from here? Do I try again? The answer is no. At least not in the same way as last time. Instead of reattempting the same goal with the same punishment I'm going to do something different. I'm recommitting myself to a new schedule and a new identity starting in 2023. For the first few years of my writing career I was prolific. I wrote for a couple hours each day without fail. And there was a reason I was able to be so productive. A reason I'll share tomorrow. On top of that I'll share some of my plan for redoing my weekly schedule. I think it'll be beneficial for everyone who reads my emails. That's all for now. Talk soon, Ian "not perfect" Stanley P.S. I will be writing more emails to my comedy list...just not holding myself to a schedule. If you wanna be on that list [you can opt in here](. But don't opt in if you're easily offended by jokes! Flesch reading score

Flesch reading score measures how complex a text is. The lower the score, the more difficult the text is to read. The Flesch readability score uses the average length of your sentences (measured by the number of words) and the average number of syllables per word in an equation to calculate the reading ease. Text with a very high Flesch reading ease score (about 100) is straightforward and easy to read, with short sentences and no words of more than two syllables. Usually, a reading ease score of 60-70 is considered acceptable/normal for web copy.
