There is one thing I've found to be more valuable than anything else when it comes to "getting things done." It's one of the simplest and most natural things on earth...but almost no one in our modern world does it. So what is it? Don't touch your phone until you've been awake for at least an hour. Don't check email. Don't do anything that creates a quick dopamine release. Dopamine is the chemical in our brain that gives us pleasure. It's what gets released when we check instagram, binge Netflix, check email, play a game on our phone, etc. It makes us feel good...for a little bit. But almost everyone in our modern world has effed up dopamine receptors which makes it harder for us to do the things that matter in our lives. Even just hundreds of years ago we only got a dopamine release a handful of times each day. Maybe a little more if we had a great life. Nowadays we can have it happen 5 times before we get out of bed...just by scrolling our phone. This is DANGEROUS because it's conditioning your brain to need constant stimulation and dopamine to feel like it's ok. That means it's gonna be harder and harder for you to sit down and do the work that will actually give you financial freedom. It means it's gonna be harder to experience joy in life. It's gonna be harder to be content and present because you always want MORE stimulation. The most valuable thing you can do for your financial life is spend the first hour of your morning working on something I call "Money Later." I'll be the first to admit that I've been bad at this at times in my life. After my trip to the mountains I feel like I've hit the reset button and I've been waiting to touch my phone till an hour after I wake up. The difference has been profound. Both for my sense of joy and completing my biggest "money tasks." The good news is you don't have to spend 5 days in the wild to get the same result. You just need to change your morning practice. I have a little 7 day course called the 7 day "money morning challenge." It'll teach you exactly how to create the perfect morning routine...without doing a bunch of ridiculous B.S. I talk about "money later" in depth in this course. See, just changing the first hour of your day can have a profound effect on your happiness and income. The 7 Day Morning Challenge is only $7. Just $1 a day. Get it if you wanna get more out of life. [ Click here to check it out]( That's all for now.
