Just do the thing ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌

Just do the thing ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ The key to success in just about any realm is finding something you'll actually do. It doesn't matter if you have the perfect plan if you won't actually follow it. This applies to whatever you wanna achieve. Wanna get in better shape? The best diet is the one you'll actually follow. The best workout is the one you'll actually do. Not the "perfect one" that's impossible to adhere to. I've recently gotten addicted to jumping rope. I know that sounds insane but it's true. I've been doing 1,000 to 2,000 jumps a day. I believe there's two reasons for it. 1. There's a really cool app and jump rope that tracks all your jumps. There's a leaderboard and stuff too. 2. Most importantly, I don't have to wonder what to do each day. Just jump. I don't have to think "should I do a push or pull day today? Should I do high reps or low reps? Which exercises should I do? How hard should I push?" I just jump. In between jumps I either do pull ups and other pull exercises. Or push exercises. And I work on my hip flexor strength cuz my hamstrings have been messed up for months. But all those other things are gravy. The main thing is just JUMP. In business the biggest roadblock for me is when I get stuck in the "what should I work on today" purgatory. When I sit and think "what should I do" I sometimes end up doing nothing. The overwhelm of all the things I CAN do makes me do jack shizzle. The reality is there's two things that have built all my businesses. 1. Write emails to my list. 2. Make sure I'm doing something to grow that list. For me that's making sure there's always paid ads running. I've written almost daily emails for like 6 years now. That's how I've made most of my money. I've tried all sorts of different stuff and I've never been consistent for extended periods of time with anything other than email. That doesn't mean it's what you should do. Maybe it is. Maybe it isn't. The thing you should do is the thing YOU will do. Not the thing that works really well for someone who's not you. Take advice from other people. Listen to them. Try their strategies. But find the thing YOU will actually do. Success doesn't come from short bursts of obsession. It doesn't come from 6 week diets and 30 day challenges. It may start there. But true success comes from doing a thing over and over again till you're world class. Or at least better than most. So whatever it is you wanna succeed at, figure out what you'll actually do. Then do it again and again. I know I've repeated myself like 3 times in this email, but the point is worth hammering home. Repetition drives learning. That's all for now. Tomorrow I may talk about what it takes to be better than most at email these days. Talk soon, Ian "never thought I'd be addicted to jumping rope" Stanley P.S. You can write great emails without much skill if you use [my AI tool](. P.P.S. The jump rope I'm using is a [Tangram Smart Rope Pure](. That's not an affiliate link. I just know people are gonna ask about it so this saves me having to respond. It's sick. I've bought them for my friends to get them to compete with me. P.P.P.S. Shoutout the legendary marketer Rich Schefren for getting me addicted to jumping rope. I hope to one day jump as much as you.
