When I was 26 years old, I quit my job. That week I went to play tennis with a very rich guy. I tell you that because he was wealthy but he had to work for every dollar he made...and he worked ALL THE TIME. He told me his job was like a heroine drip of money that he was too addicted to to quit. I knew I wanted to be rich...but I wasn't willing to work constantly to get it like this guy. That's why this story is so serendipitous. On one of the changeovers while we were playing tennis, I decided to check my email on my phone. I had an email from a guy who owned a super successful online company. He made me an offer to write copy for him. Specifically, to "beat his controls." If you don't know what that means, let me explain. A "control" is a piece of marketing material that is making a company money. It's their best version of whatever they're using to sell stuff. In this case, their controls were Video Sales Letters (VSLs). He offered me a guaranteed $20,000 per VSL to rewrite two VSLs. So I'd make $40,000 even if I pooped the bed. I could earn up to an extra $60,000 per VSL if I beat the conversions by 36% or more. So I had a massive incentive to not poop the bed. There were varied tiers for payment depending on how well I did. I ended up doing well... I got an extra $80,000 in bonuses because of how my stuff performed. If I did perfectly I would've gotten $120,000 in bonuses. (I didn't beat both by 36% but I did really well.) So between my guaranteed payment and the bonuses I ended up making $120,000 from them. The work took a total of about 15 hours over the course of a month. I made $110,000 from my job in the full YEAR before. So in one month I made more than the previous year. I couldn't believe it. So I started to do similar deals with different types of companies. Not everyone one of them was worth six figures. Most were worth around $5,000 to $50,000 depending on the company and the deal...and how well my stuff performed. And most of them only took a few hours to work on. I am fully aware of the fact that all of that may sound crazy and hard to believe to some of you. That's ok. I'm not saying you're gonna do six figures in a month like I did. But making a few grand is super realistic. I've only ever taught my whole "beat the control" methodology once before. It was a $997 product. I show you how to beat controls and set up deals with clients that'll pay you. Now I'm giving that course away for FREE when you buy CopyHour through my link. I'll explain more if you click below... Here's what you gotta do... Click the link below. That will effectively "raise your hand" to tell me you care about becoming a world class copywriter. (And beating controls.) If you click that link, I'll send you emails about this "thing" all week. If you don't, I'll only send like one or two emails about it, then I'll stop if you don't click. This is how I ensure you don't get stuff from me that you don't want. [ Click here to raise your hand and learn about the thing]( That's all for now.
