The majority of these Arabs, holding Israeli-issued blue ID cards, are entitled to vote and run in these elections due to their status as permanent residents. Notably, Waleed Abu Tayeh, an Arab Israeli citizen living in east Jerusalem, declared his intent to run in the upcoming elections.
