Black FriYAY! | [Fashion]( [Style]( [Grooming]( [Hair]( [Watches]( [5 Essential Tips For Black Friday]( Why Our Style Studio Will Be Your Most Important Destination This Black Friday. Plus Pro-Tips you should know before you hit the sale rack. Black Friday has almost felt obsolete over the past two years, as we witnessed a majority of Brands offering some sort of discount throughout the entire year to try and claw back lost revenue from the Pandemic. Is it even Black Friday anymore? What happened to Cyber Monday? We've seen the timeframe of Black Friday consistently stretched out over the last five years - from one day to two, to even a whole week. Brands continue to take advantage of FOMO (Fear Of Missing Out) and will do every dirty trick in order for you to buy early. These tactics come in different forms: Starting "Black Friday Sales" a week early "Early Black Friday Access" "Black Friday Sale - While Stock Lasts" "Black Friday - Limited Sale" Of course, there is a lot to be said about these offers, and they really only work if you actually know what you’re looking for.., Call me old-school, if you must, but brands will almost certainly have an extra % off on the day itself. This isn’t out of generosity, it’s solely down to the purpose of making as much profit as possible. So, where do you go from here? A good place to start is following our tips below on how to conquer Black Friday. You’ll also find an invitation to the exclusive FashionBeans Style Studio where big magic will be happening this Friday. 1. BROWSE NOW A little retail industry secret—the first discounted items will be things they have a lot of. Also known as “testing the water” Analytical data will reveal a sweet spot of % discount that is the most likely to convert into sales. Don’t forget to bookmark items in your size that you love in order to keep track of them on Black Friday. AGAIN, DO NOT FORGET TO BOOKMARK AND DOUBLE CHECK YOUR SIZE. Things can sell out more quickly than you expect, especially if you're a common size, trust me I’ve been caught before. Taking an extra second to peruse the rest of the sale only to find out when I checked my cart that only 2XL was left (that’s when black friday really turns dark). --------------------------------------------------------------- 2. REVIEW YOUR WARDROBE Guessing isn’t KNOWING! Scroll through your Instagram, have a look at photos of yourself on nights out. Do you notice similar outfits or a lot of repetition? Ask yourself “if I’m going on a date, work meeting, drinks, meeting friends, etc., what would I wear?” If it's the same thing, it’s time to start looking elsewhere. Variety and intention in your closet can be a BIG game changer. Recognize what your wardrobe needs, jot them down and hit these FIRST when deciding to buy. This is the best way to buy with intention and not end up with a bunch of mismatched items you’ll never wear --------------------------------------------------------------- 3. STICK TO WHAT YOU KNOW Let's say you make the best Thanksgiving turkey in town, and this is the first year you're cooking for the inlaws... Time to try making a Beef Wellington for the first time. NO. Stick with what you know.. If you are waiting for a Sale in your favorite store, I promise you there are thousands of others waiting too. Don’t suddenly decide on a new brand that you have never tried on, or felt in hand etc. . . It’s a recipe for disaster. But, it’s discounted and I wouldn’t buy it at Full-Price. Believe me, I completely understand this logic, and I’ve fallen prey to it before. My answer to this will always remain the same; if you are hmm’ing and haw’ing over new items from brands you’ve never bought from before, it’s taking away valuable time spent on other brands that you know work for you. Many brands can be difficult if you try to return items on sale, you’ll notice a lot of brands won’t even offer returns on sale items. So you’ll hopefully find something different you love, but on the flipside, you might be stuck with something that doesn’t work for you (hello, holiday regifting?). Moral of the story—stick with what you know. --------------------------------------------------------------- 4. BUY WHAT YOU WILL NEED Buying what you need currently doesn’t always work out. But buying what you will need is a game changer. Black Friday is all about saving money. And who doesn’t love saving money? So make the most of it. Has your refrigerator seen better days? Black Friday is a great time to snag a deal on a top brand. Do you have a European getaway planned in the summer? That luggage you’ve always wanted will be a steal. The odds of getting your favorite tees on sale throughout the year are a lot higher than getting big ticket items you’ll need in the future, so plan accordingly. --------------------------------------------------------------- 5. WILDCARD Not everything Black Friday is clothes related. You can also take advantage of self improvement opportunities like gym memberships, meal delivery services, or classes for that hobby you’ve been putting on the backburner.. --------------------------------------------------------------- 6. TRUST US You know us, you trust us, you love us (at least we hope so). If you’re still at a loss of what to buy this sale season, I invite you to check out our newly curated Style Studio.
