___________________= _____ Hey everyone hope your we= eks been well. Last week I rod= e across Joshua Tree National Forest with my friend Rebecca Watson. T= hanks to staying on east coast time the entire time I was still able to get= work done. While the rides weren't super long (~40miles/day range), = they were challenging. Riding in Kentucky I'm used to hills, but we d= on't have any mountains near where I live. We had several 10 mile cli= mbs and one day was just one 25 mile climb from sea level to 4200ft elevati= on. The rides weren't impossible but they were definitely all I wante= d. And the scenery was pretty amazing. It was like being on Mar= s but with vegetation. No [livestream](3D") this week thanks to Thanksgiving being o= n Thursday. We'll definitely be back next week however! Also we= 'll probably be doing a late evening Christmas Movie extravaganza where Dil= l and I drink too much, Lucky smokes too much, and Christine eats an entire= bucket of Xmas Fried Chicken. Stay tuned for more on that.

Another fun time on the Quiz last = week, where we learned the difference between a Republic and an Empire boil= s down to how much power you give the executive - and whether you can make = him (or her) leave. On the Quiz itself, mrs. badcrumble ca= me out on top with 929, followed by urethra_franklin = in second with 908 and Denjiro in third with 901.&nbs= p;Xanadone made fourth with 885, and raukos7rounds out the top five with 870. The hardest questio= n on the Hard Quiz last week was about which city has the worst traffic in = the US. Only 18% of quiztakers caught the article about how those in Chicag= o spend an average of 155 hours per year sitting still in traffic and = regretting their life choices. The same study shows Washington, DC resident= s spending 83 hours and Houston residents spending 74, but they d= on't get to enjoy good ole' Chicago meat pies when they reach their destina= tions. The easiest question on last week's Hard Quiz was about whic= h general who fought against the Romans Denzel Washington had signed on to = play. 82% of quiztakers recognized Hannibal as the Carthagian. Ancient Cart= hage was located where modern-day Tunisia is in North Africa, so you can im= agine how far Hannibal had to lead his elephants around the Mediterranean t= o attack modern-day Italy since no one had invented elephant ocean Uber bac= k then. The hardest question on last week's Easy Quiz was abo= ut which streaming service just added a 24/7 nonstop Car Chase Channel. Onl= y 53% of quiztakers knew that Pluto TV was owned by Paramount, and no one's= really sure if they're going to have interns in used Buick LeSabres o= n standby in case ratings start to drop. The service promises to show live = footage when there's an active car chase in California, and archived chases= when there isn't, which doesn't seem to be very often. The easiest= question on last week's Easy Quiz was about the meaning of the word "gravi= tate". 98% of quiztakers gravitated towards the correct meaning of "To move= , tend to move, or be attracted towards something", so I'm hoping Merriam-W= ebster will gravitate towards slightly more obscure words so that I can mak= e slightly more tricky trivia questions in the future. If you= missed out last week, now's a great time to [catch up on the Fark Weird News Quiz](3D" now that = you know a few of the answers. Congratulations to the winners, and we'll do= it all again on Friday. --------------------------------------------------------------- ([Fark.com](3D"") sent this newsletter emai= l to: {EMAIL}) To stop these emails, go to the Notifications tab of your [MyFark profile](3D"https:=) to change your subscription preferences.
