___________________= _____ Hey everyone hope your we= ek's been well. Here in centra= l KY it's finally starting to feel like summer. I've been working out= on the porch for awhile now, but this week the temps are finally starting = to creep up into the upper 80s, with oppressive humidity surely not far beh= ind. I joke that the daily forecast for KY between June and October i= s high in the mid 80s/90s, scattered thunderstorms, and humid, but it's als= o pretty much true. My schedul= e for June has finally cleared up so I -will- be able to attend the Buffalo= Fark Party on June 24th. We'll be meeting up at the NYS Craft Brewer= 's Festival which requires a separate ticketed entry but does include a cra= p ton of beer. See [ nts/party540](=3D" for more details, buy ti= x asap. It's possible we may keep going after 6pm but TBD on that one= , stay tuned for updates. I'm bringing most of the family too, mainly= because Storm is a hell of a DD for stuff like this. Thursday 4pm Eastern it's the [Fark News Livestream](3D") with me, Lucky, Christine and Dill. Dill = went viral last week helping a friend troll his teenager, we'll be covering= that plus more. The news cycle is a bit light this week but assuming= that doesn't change, we'll just go less than our usual hour. Thursda= y has saved the day before however, so we'll see how it goes.

Another fun time on last week's Quiz, where we learned t= hat sometimes you're better off not knowing exactly what is in that online = shopping ad. On the Quiz itself, Oak came out on top with = a score of 1023 and a ticket to the 1000 club, where we're in the process o= f redecorating with disembodied fingers and cheap garden gnomes, followed b= y HFK in second with 998 and Autoerotic = Defenestration in third with 995. abmoraz ma= de fourth with 994, and mrs. badcrumble rounds out th= e top five with 942. The hardest question on last week's Hard Quiz = was about which Bond movie theme was sang by the late Tina Turner. Only 35%= of quiztakers knew that you could hear Turner right after Pierce Brosnan b= ungee jumped off the dam in "Goldeneye". The theme from "The World is Not E= nough" was performed by Garbage, and Gladys Knight had the honors for "Lice= nse to Kill". ' The easiest question on last week's Hard Quiz was a= bout Avid, Inc in Arizona and a lawsuit by 48 different states. 84% of quiz= takers knew that Avid was one of the country's largest providers of telecom= services to robocall spammers, including allowing caller ID spoofing and v= iolations of the Do Not Call list. For some reason, Alaska and South Dakota= have not joined the suit, leading me to believe they're either desperate f= or any human contact or they actually like their extended automobile warran= ties. The hardest question on last week's Easy Quiz was about= Microsoft's new "virtual assistant" for us to ignore and make fun of. Only= 44% of quiztakers knew the new Windows 11 assistant was called "Copilot", = which is something I'm pretty sure I don't need to fill out a spreadsheet. = "Bixby" is the virtual assistant that comes with Samsung Phones and annoys = us until we figure out how to turn it off. I'm guessing even the people in = South Dakota and Alaska so desperate for human contact they're not suing ro= bocallers are still just as annoyed at virtual assistants on their devices = as everyone else. The easiest question on last week's Easy Qu= iz was about Tina Turner's first acting gig. 90% of quiztakers knew she app= eared alongside Eric Clapton and Elton John in "Tommy", the movie version o= f The Who's rock opera, She played The Acid Queen, and performed the song b= y the same name. If you missed out last week, now's a great t= ime to [catch up on the Fark Weird News Quiz](3D") since you know = a few of the answers. Congratulations once again to the winners, and we'll = do it all again this Friday. --------------------------------------------------------------- ([Fark.com](3D"") sent this newsletter emai= l to: {EMAIL}) To stop these emails, go to the Notifications tab of your [MyFark profile](3D"https:=) to change your subscription preferences.
