We announced a hug= e subscription drive and the Fark community responded - without people sign= ing up for [TotalFark](3D".=) or [BareFark](3D" we wouldn't have made it through the year. I ca= n't thank you enough - without the surge in subscriptions we would not have= made it through 2017. Incidentally, just last week we = got our first warning since then about a user profile on Fark that was out = of compliance for advertising - however, there has been progress! Thi= s time we actually got a warning, and this time Google only turned off ads = to the page itself, which gets next to no traffic anyhow. Compliance = was super easy, and we were able to quickly solve the problem. So kud= os to Google for fixing their compliance process! Howev= er, the ad market still sucks - everyone's fixated on ads served via a digi= tal media version of a TA teaching a college 101 course.
