Their offense might actually be. Last week we had a few interesting developments for the Lions offense and they are all good things for Jared Goff as well. First, Jameson Williams was active. The Lions first round pick made his NFL debut and while he only played a handful of snaps he is likely to see more snaps in Week 14 than he did in Week 13. Second, D.J. Chark is healthy and making plays. The Lions paid Chark $10 million guaranteed this offseason to be their outside receiver but injuries have derailed his season. He has caught touchdown passes in each of the last two games and was a real impact player last week. Lastly, D'Andre Swift played 51% of the offensive snaps and saw more touches than Jamaal Williams. A healthy Swift is an elite player for this Lions offense in both the running and passing game. The Vikings defense is not very good, with the likes of Mac Jones and Mike White throwing for 382 and 369 yards respectively over the past two weeks. He has scored 15+ points in five straight games and is the goal line back of a high powered offense. Pollard will likely be the chalkier play this week, but Zeke could easily out-produce him and at a much cheaper price (I am not against playing Pollard though, just to be clear). The Texans rank as the best matchup in the league for running backs, even after holding Nick Chubb in check in Week 13. Zeke is a safe bet for volume and I would be surprised if he doesn’t find the end zone at least once this week. However, I won’t be doing that. The Bills have actually allowed the fourth-most fantasy points per game to opposing receivers over the last four weeks, and back in Week 9, Wilson went for 92 yards on eight grabs against them. With Mike White under center the past two weeks, Wilson has been a monster, averaging 6.5 receptions on 11.5 targets for 128.5 yards and one touchdown per game. Hockenson, Minnesota VikingsSpeaking of chalk, TJ Hockenson is going to be an incredibly popular play. He has the matchup - the Lions are a bottom five team vs. the tight end and this game has shootout potential given the high over/under and close spread. He should have the opportunity as he runs a ton of routes and Jeff Okudah did a pretty good job on Justin Jefferson last time around. And he has the revenge game narrative going for him which is Twitter’s favorite. My Quick Out podcast co-host Jon Impemba often talks about good chalk (a popular player that you should start to not miss out) and bad chalk (a popular player that you can fade to get an advantage on other fantasy gamers). Given the info above and the Vikings recent tendency to get pulled into high scoring games, TJ Hockenson is good chalk this week. Chalkenson is roughly 10-11% of your budget on all three platforms so he’s not a bad pick anywhere (especially on Yahoo where Kelce is 18%). They’re arguably one of the three best defenses in the league and they get a very friendly matchup at home against the Houston Texans. Dallas might be too expensive over on FanDuel but it’s awfully hard to ignore them on DraftKings even if they are $3,800. Dallas is coming off a dominant performance on Sunday night where they forced five turnovers and collected three sacks with a touchdown as well. The performance was good for 20 fantasy points. Dallas has returned 16+ fantasy points on four occasions this year so the floor and ceiling are great if you can fit them in. The projected total for this game opened at 45 points and the Cowboys are massive 17-point favorites.
