David Montgomery and Dalvin Cook Go Down With Injuries The running back position continues to be a tough one to gauge with injuries constantly hitting the position and on Sunday we saw two starting backs go down with David Montgomery and Dalvin Cook both getting injured. Montgomery suffered a leg injury that forced him to exit the Bears matchup against the Texans and he did not return. In his place we saw Kahlil Herbert run all over the Houston defense, finishing with 20 carries for 157 yards and two touchdowns. Reports right after the game were that Montgomery is considered day-to-day. Dalvin Cook suffered a dislocated shoulder in the Vikings win over the Lions. Cook was having a strong game prior to his injury, rushing for 96 yards and a touchdown on 17 carries. Alexander Mattison rushed seven times for 28 yards and a touchdown in Cook's absence. Through the first two weeks that rushing upside was also on full display as he had rushed for 147 yards and three scores. However, we are finally starting to see Jalen Hurts the passer on display as well with Hurts now throwing for over 330 yards in each of the last two games. On Sunday he lit up the Commanders for 340 yards and three touchdowns. The breakout season is truly on display. Is Darnell Mooney Droppable? Three weeks of the NFL season have been completed and Mooney has four total catches on 11 targets for 27 yards over those three weeks. At some point his ADP no longer matters and while you can believe in the talent of a player it is the scoreboard that ultimately matters and right now Mooney is unplayable. Is he droppable though? We went through this same scenario last season with Allen Robinson and ultimately the answer to that question was yes. Some came to that conclusion much later than others and may have missed out on a key waiver wire claim. If you are in need of a roster spot and can't afford to hold and see if Mooney ever comes around then you should look to drop him in heading into Week 4 as this Bears passing offense looks dreadful. Are the Jaguars the Real Deal? Jacksonville went into Los Angeles and embarrassed the Chargers on their home field, beating them 38-10. Christian Kirk has been well worth the money paid to him this offseason as the Jaguars leading receiver now has 18 catches on 27 targets for 267 yards and three touchdowns through the first three weeks of the season. James Robinson is healthy and running well. Trevor Lawrence is showing why he was the first overall pick last season and even the Jacksonville defense is playing well.
