Trey Lance Suffers Season-Ending Injury Injuries are never a fun part of sports but some injuries are more devastating than others and unfortunately for Trey Lance he suffered a season ending ankle injury early in the 49ers eventual 27-7 win over the Seahawks on Sunday. Lance was injured during a running play where he was hit and his leg got caught underneath. With Lance now out of the picture, the 49ers turn back to Jimmy Garoppolo as the team's starting QB. Jimmy G completed 13-of-21 passes for 154 yards and a touchdown while adding four carries for five yards and another score. The third-year QB completed 36-of-50 passes for 469 yards with six touchdowns and two interceptions. Coming off the board as QB17 during the preseason, some questioned whether Tua had the capabilities of supporting two top wide receivers in Tyreek Hill and Jaylen Waddle but, at least for one week, those questions were answered as Hill finished with 11 catches for 190 yards and Waddle finished with 11 catches for 171 yards and two scores. In total the top two receivers accounted for 32 of Tuas 50 pass attempts. That's a good ratio and one that should keep Tua on the right path towards a successful fantasy season. Rookie Breakout Party In Week 2 we saw two rookie wide receivers have themselves a day with Jets rookie Garrett Wilson finishing with eight catches on 14 targets for 102 yards and two touchdowns. Through two weeks it has been Wilson and not Elijah Moore who has had the better chemistry with veteran QB Joe Flacco who led the Jets to a comeback win over the Browns in Week 2, thanks mostly to the performance of Wilson against a tough Browns defense. The other gold star goes to Drake London who had a team high eight catches on 12 targets for 86 yards and a touchdown. London was the first receiver off the board in this past season's draft and through two weeks he has been the Falcons leading receiver.
