Week 2 of the NFL season is here which means yet another week of NFL DFS preparation! ~/AAAHagA~/RgRlB33IP0QuaHR0cHM6Ly93d3cuZmFudGFzeWFsYXJtLmNvbS8_bGlkPXkyb2h5bGRuZWJjalcFc3BjZXVCCmMjyPgkY1ELhPZSG3RyaXN0cmFtYmFsZHdpbjkyQGdtYWlsLmNvbVgEAAABRA~~ ~/AAAHagA~/RgRlB33IP0SDaHR0cHM6Ly93d3cuZmFudGFzeWFsYXJtLmNvbS9hcnRpY2xlcy9uZmwvcXVhcnRlcmJhY2tzL25mbC1kZnMtcWItY29hY2gtd2Vlay0yLXRvcC1kcmFmdGtpbmdzLWZhbmR1ZWwtcGlja3MvMTMzNTE3P2xpZD1iZzBic2N5bGdndjFXBXNwY2V1QgpjI8j4JGNRC4T2Uht0cmlzdHJhbWJhbGR3aW45MkBnbWFpbC5jb21YBAAAAUQ~ Carson Wentz Wentz looked fantastic in his season debut for the Commanders, completing 66% of his passes for 313 yards with four touchdowns and two interceptions. He did all of that with [Terry McLaurin](~/AAAHagA~/RgRlB33IP0RPaHR0cHM6Ly93d3cuZmFudGFzeWFsYXJtLmNvbS9uZmwvcGxheWVycy8zMDY4MjEvVGVycnktTWNMYXVyaW4_bGlkPTVsMjgwZ24ydDNsaFcFc3BjZXVCCmMjyPgkY1ELhPZSG3RyaXN0cmFtYmFsZHdpbjkyQGdtYWlsLmNvbVgEAAABRA~~) largely being a non-factor in the team's offense against the Jaguars. In Week 2 the Commanders are on the road against a Lions team that could not stop the Eagles offense and allowed AJ Brown to go for 10 catches and 155 yards. The Commanders offense is healthy with [Logan Thomas](~/AAAHagA~/RgRlB33IP0RNaHR0cHM6Ly93d3cuZmFudGFzeWFsYXJtLmNvbS9uZmwvcGxheWVycy8zMDI3NTMvTG9nYW4tVGhvbWFzP2xpZD00bXB5Ymd2bDY0YjZXBXNwY2V1QgpjI8j4JGNRC4T2Uht0cmlzdHJhbWJhbGR3aW45MkBnbWFpbC5jb21YBAAAAUQ~) and [Curtis Samuel](~/AAAHagA~/RgRlB33IP0ROaHR0cHM6Ly93d3cuZmFudGFzeWFsYXJtLmNvbS9uZmwvcGxheWVycy8zMDQ3OTMvQ3VydGlzLVNhbXVlbD9saWQ9b2sxcm9hdmM2bHV4VwVzcGNldUIKYyPI-CRjUQuE9lIbdHJpc3RyYW1iYWxkd2luOTJAZ21haWwuY29tWAQAAAFE) playing roles in the team's Week 1 win after both missed the majority of last season. Rookie [Jahan Dotson](~/AAAHagA~/RgRlB33IP0RNaHR0cHM6Ly93d3cuZmFudGFzeWFsYXJtLmNvbS9uZmwvcGxheWVycy8zMDk5NTkvSmFoYW4tRG90c29uP2xpZD1qdHYydXBwa2JtZXdXBXNwY2V1QgpjI8j4JGNRC4T2Uht0cmlzdHJhbWJhbGR3aW45MkBnbWFpbC5jb21YBAAAAUQ~) had two touchdown receptions and running back [Antonio Gibson](~/AAAHagA~/RgRlB33IP0RPaHR0cHM6Ly93d3cuZmFudGFzeWFsYXJtLmNvbS9uZmwvcGxheWVycy8zMDc3NzQvQW50b25pby1HaWJzb24_bGlkPXB3Nm5jeW1tbXJmblcFc3BjZXVCCmMjyPgkY1ELhPZSG3RyaXN0cmFtYmFsZHdpbjkyQGdtYWlsLmNvbVgEAAABRA~~) also had seven catches. Wentz is my favorite of the QB's in this price range and will be a good pivot off of [Matthew Stafford](~/AAAHagA~/RgRlB33IP0RRaHR0cHM6Ly93d3cuZmFudGFzeWFsYXJtLmNvbS9uZmwvcGxheWVycy8zMDI3NDkvTWF0dGhldy1TdGFmZm9yZD9saWQ9MjM4djRlODE1cTF0VwVzcGNldUIKYyPI-CRjUQuE9lIbdHJpc3RyYW1iYWxkd2luOTJAZ21haWwuY29tWAQAAAFE) who is likely the higher owned of this tier. He will continue to operate as the Commanders workhorse back, at least for as long as [Brian Robinson](~/AAAHagA~/RgRlB33IP0RPaHR0cHM6Ly93d3cuZmFudGFzeWFsYXJtLmNvbS9uZmwvcGxheWVycy8zMDk2ODQvQnJpYW4tUm9iaW5zb24_bGlkPXhnOWhuNDg0bGFwNFcFc3BjZXVCCmMjyPgkY1ELhPZSG3RyaXN0cmFtYmFsZHdpbjkyQGdtYWlsLmNvbVgEAAABRA~~) is on the shelf. He has a fantastic matchup on tap this week as Washington will take on the Lions. As you can see below, the Eagles had no issue dominating the Lions on the ground in Week 1 as all three of their backs found the end zone and there was a combined over 200 rushing yards allowed on the ground. Seattle was amped up for the return of [Russell Wilson](~/AAAHagA~/RgRlB33IP0RPaHR0cHM6Ly93d3cuZmFudGFzeWFsYXJtLmNvbS9uZmwvcGxheWVycy8zMDI2OTkvUnVzc2VsbC1XaWxzb24_bGlkPXVzZW53MGF4YWVtd1cFc3BjZXVCCmMjyPgkY1ELhPZSG3RyaXN0cmFtYmFsZHdpbjkyQGdtYWlsLmNvbVgEAAABRA~~) on Monday night, and while they won, there could be a bit of a “hangover” of sorts for that team. There’s no [Jamal Adams](~/AAAHagA~/RgRlB33IP0RMaHR0cHM6Ly93d3cuZmFudGFzeWFsYXJtLmNvbS9uZmwvcGxheWVycy8zMDUxNzYvSmFtYWwtQWRhbXM_bGlkPWFocWFjd2gzOXZqYVcFc3BjZXVCCmMjyPgkY1ELhPZSG3RyaXN0cmFtYmFsZHdpbjkyQGdtYWlsLmNvbVgEAAABRA~~) due to a quad injury, and Samuel had eight carries and eight targets in the opener. Sure, those eight targets resulted in just two catches for 14 yards, but the opportunities were there for Samuel, and he’ll capitalize on them in this matchup. We’ve seen Samuel’s usage in the run game increase when [Elijah Mitchell](~/AAAHagA~/RgRlB33IP0RQaHR0cHM6Ly93d3cuZmFudGFzeWFsYXJtLmNvbS9uZmwvcGxheWVycy8zMDkzOTgvRWxpamFoLU1pdGNoZWxsP2xpZD14NnM1MGo3d3Ryd3lXBXNwY2V1QgpjI8j4JGNRC4T2Uht0cmlzdHJhbWJhbGR3aW45MkBnbWFpbC5jb21YBAAAAUQ~) has been out of the lineup, and while these games weren’t with [Trey Lance](~/AAAHagA~/RgRlB33IP0RLaHR0cHM6Ly93d3cuZmFudGFzeWFsYXJtLmNvbS9uZmwvcGxheWVycy8zMDkwNTUvVHJleS1MYW5jZT9saWQ9cWlyMnVrbjRucGMwVwVzcGNldUIKYyPI-CRjUQuE9lIbdHJpc3RyYW1iYWxkd2luOTJAZ21haWwuY29tWAQAAAFE), it’s worth noting that Samuel has 100+ receiving yards in all three games against Seattle for his career. While it may not be 100 receiving yards on Sunday, he should have plenty of chances to get over 100 total yards. First off, just from a box score perspective, he got more targets than [Hunter Renfrow](~/AAAHagA~/RgRlB33IP0RPaHR0cHM6Ly93d3cuZmFudGFzeWFsYXJtLmNvbS9uZmwvcGxheWVycy8zMDY4NzEvSHVudGVyLVJlbmZyb3c_bGlkPW5pOHNiOGRwbWw2NVcFc3BjZXVCCmMjyPgkY1ELhPZSG3RyaXN0cmFtYmFsZHdpbjkyQGdtYWlsLmNvbVgEAAABRA~~) which is half the battle. [Davante Adams](~/AAAHagA~/RgRlB33IP0ROaHR0cHM6Ly93d3cuZmFudGFzeWFsYXJtLmNvbS9uZmwvcGxheWVycy8zMDEyNjcvRGF2YW50ZS1BZGFtcz9saWQ9NW5icDdsMXA0bWdqVwVzcGNldUIKYyPI-CRjUQuE9lIbdHJpc3RyYW1iYWxkd2luOTJAZ21haWwuY29tWAQAAAFE) isn’t going to get 15+ targets every week so the second target in that offense has room to thrive. Also, his usage in terms of alignment was better under Josh McDaniels than it has been under previous coaches, as crazy as that sounds. He was very close to Andrews in a lot of those stats above as he ran 89.5% of his routes from a wide receiver spot and ran a route on 80% of the dropbacks. He also had an elite tier aDot of 13 yards. [Travis Kelce](~/AAAHagA~/RgRlB33IP0RNaHR0cHM6Ly93d3cuZmFudGFzeWFsYXJtLmNvbS9uZmwvcGxheWVycy8zMDE0NDAvVHJhdmlzLUtlbGNlP2xpZD1hZmw4NDJlNzhzYXFXBXNwY2V1QgpjI8j4JGNRC4T2Uht0cmlzdHJhbWJhbGR3aW45MkBnbWFpbC5jb21YBAAAAUQ~) absolutely torched the Cardinals this past week so Waller could be in a spot to do the same. He’s 11.2% of your budget on DK but only 9.5% on Yahoo so that’s the spot to get him in there. But I do believe the Rams are a bit underpriced on DraftKings at $4,000. On FanDuel, they’re the fifth-most expensive team so you can easily pay up at $4,600 over there. The Rams had a very difficult matchup in Week 1 against Buffalo. They allowed 31 points and over 400 yards of offense. But despite all that, they still provided nine points in DFS. They can force enough turnovers and sacks to always be a decent play and this week they host the Falcons who travel across country for a very difficult matchup. The Falcons showed some creativity on offense last week, but they don’t have the weapons the Bills have to give the Rams fits. At the end of the day I can imagine the Rams defensive line having their way and getting plenty of pressure on [Marcus Mariota](~/AAAHagA~/RgRlB33IP0RPaHR0cHM6Ly93d3cuZmFudGFzeWFsYXJtLmNvbS9uZmwvcGxheWVycy8zMDMyMzAvTWFyY3VzLU1hcmlvdGE_bGlkPWJpaHVzamt2OHFwYlcFc3BjZXVCCmMjyPgkY1ELhPZSG3RyaXN0cmFtYmFsZHdpbjkyQGdtYWlsLmNvbVgEAAABRA~~). The Rams opened as 13.5-points favorites which has been bet down to 10.5-point favorites. I’m not entirely surprised but still being favored by over ten points in the NFL is a compliment. The over/under is right around 47 points currently, which is high, but the Rams are still heavily favored. In Cash games, I’m still paying down at this position, but the Rams have a path to 3X value in this matchup and if they log a defensive or special teams touchdown then they could be optimal in GPP’s.
