Week 1 is always a fun time to build DFS lineups because pricing has been out for a while and opportunities to create some unique roster builds given the value plays that are usually on the board is key. ~/AAAHagA~/RgRk_jJ0P0QdaHR0cHM6Ly93d3cuZmFudGFzeWFsYXJtLmNvbS9XBXNwY2V1QgpjGHStG2OmZfGnUht0cmlzdHJhbWJhbGR3aW45MkBnbWFpbC5jb21YBAAAAUQ~ ~/AAAHagA~/RgRk_jJ0P0RyaHR0cHM6Ly93d3cuZmFudGFzeWFsYXJtLmNvbS9hcnRpY2xlcy9uZmwvcXVhcnRlcmJhY2tzL25mbC1kZnMtcWItY29hY2gtd2Vlay0xLXRvcC1kcmFmdGtpbmdzLWZhbmR1ZWwtcGlja3MvMTMzMDA3VwVzcGNldUIKYxh0rRtjpmXxp1IbdHJpc3RyYW1iYWxkd2luOTJAZ21haWwuY29tWAQAAAFE Jalen Hurts There hasn’t been a player this offseason that I’ve been higher on than [Jalen Hurts](~/AAAHagA~/RgRk_jJ0P0Q7aHR0cHM6Ly93d3cuZmFudGFzeWFsYXJtLmNvbS9uZmwvcGxheWVycy8zMDc3MjMvSmFsZW4tSHVydHNXBXNwY2V1QgpjGHStG2OmZfGnUht0cmlzdHJhbWJhbGR3aW45MkBnbWFpbC5jb21YBAAAAUQ~). In 2021, he finished ninth in total points but sixth in fantasy points per game. This offseason, the Eagles made an investment to help him out as they went and acquired receiver [A.J. He has massive upside and will be used plentiful both on the ground and in the passing game. He is a steal in the mid-tier, especially in the full PPR scoring formats. His FanDuel price is borderline criminal and feels like stealing with how cheap he is (cheaper than guys like [Josh Jacobs](~/AAAHagA~/RgRk_jJ0P0Q7aHR0cHM6Ly93d3cuZmFudGFzeWFsYXJtLmNvbS9uZmwvcGxheWVycy8zMDY3NDMvSm9zaC1KYWNvYnNXBXNwY2V1QgpjGHStG2OmZfGnUht0cmlzdHJhbWJhbGR3aW45MkBnbWFpbC5jb21YBAAAAUQ~) and [J.K. I have a feeling he will not be in the mid-tier for very long, so let’s take advantage of it while we can. His ceiling is huge and he makes for a great play in all formats. Chase has slate-breaking upside and he’s the team’s most dynamic weapon with the football in his hands. If the Bengals try to protect Burrow a bit after missing some time in camp, short passes to Chase could be in store, and his prowess after the catch could lead to some big plays. Chase averaged eight yards after the catch per reception last season. The Bengals will want to come out and hang a big number on the scoreboard against their divisional foe and prove that last year’s run was no fluke. In the top tier, we not only want a decent floor from our option but we need the upside that comes with touchdowns. And [Mark Andrews](~/AAAHagA~/RgRk_jJ0P0Q8aHR0cHM6Ly93d3cuZmFudGFzeWFsYXJtLmNvbS9uZmwvcGxheWVycy8zMDU4OTkvTWFyay1BbmRyZXdzVwVzcGNldUIKYxh0rRtjpmXxp1IbdHJpc3RyYW1iYWxkd2luOTJAZ21haWwuY29tWAQAAAFE) is THAT guy. Over the last three years, he hasn’t finished outside the top three in the red zone or end zone targets and he usually leads the categories. This is a guy who almost NEVER pass blocks (under 2%) and, because the team uses so many fullbacks and second tight ends, he’s virtually locked into being a top target on his team. They boast a great defense and a lethal pass rush against maybe the worst offensive line in the league and a second-year quarterback. To be fair to [Justin Fields](~/AAAHagA~/RgRk_jJ0P0Q9aHR0cHM6Ly93d3cuZmFudGFzeWFsYXJtLmNvbS9uZmwvcGxheWVycy8zMDg5NDkvSnVzdGluLUZpZWxkc1cFc3BjZXVCCmMYdK0bY6Zl8adSG3RyaXN0cmFtYmFsZHdpbjkyQGdtYWlsLmNvbVgEAAABRA~~), he’s looked good so far in the preseason. But this will be a stiff test and outside of [Darnell Mooney](~/AAAHagA~/RgRk_jJ0P0Q-aHR0cHM6Ly93d3cuZmFudGFzeWFsYXJtLmNvbS9uZmwvcGxheWVycy8zMDc4ODgvRGFybmVsbC1Nb29uZXlXBXNwY2V1QgpjGHStG2OmZfGnUht0cmlzdHJhbWJhbGR3aW45MkBnbWFpbC5jb21YBAAAAUQ~), he doesn’t have a ton of weapons at his disposal. The pressure the 49ers can get on Fields will be vital. Pressure leads to sacks, which the 49ers collected in bunches last season. If there’s an argument against San Francisco, aside from the price tag, it’s that they only posted double-digit fantasy points three times during the 2021 regular season. The 49ers are favored by a touchdown and the over/under is currently sitting at 41.5 points.
