Hey Aaron Rodgers, shuddup! Hey Pat McAfee, zip it! Why are these two dopes invading my TV news feeds with their incomprehensible babbling, insecure flexing, and truly horrible takes on everything? ESPN, youâre part of the problem. Letâs never talk about them again. Hereâs what to watch this week. -Tim Your Watch This Now! newsletter is created by Senior Recommendations and Reviews Editor Tim Surette and more show-obsessed editors at TV Guide! MONDAY AT 8 PM ET/5 PM PT ON FOX [Get ready to groan, itâs the Emmys]( Real talk: I do not like awards shows. These outdated, elitist ceremonies are obsolete in the Peak Streaming era, and normal people have moved on to enjoy what they like, when they like. Niche programming is no longer niche! There are more than three channels! The importance of having your own self-formed opinion on what is âbestâ has never been greater! What Iâm saying is: Did you know that Better Call Saul has been nominated for 25 Primetime Emmy Awards and has won exactly zero? (It has won two Creative Arts Emmys for web-based spin-offs.) How can I put any faith in an awards system that picked Game of Thrones Seasons 6, 7, and 8 over Better Call Saul in the Best Drama category? The final season of Better Call Saul is nominated for five awards this time around, including Best Drama, so this is its last chance. (Succession will win.) Anthony Anderson hosts. [Here are all the nominees]( and [hereâs everything we know about the Emmys](.
SEASON 12 PREMIERES WEDNESDAY AT 9/8C ON NBC [Chicago Fire signals the beginning of the fall season in winter]( [Some broadcast shows have already been airing this year â NBCâs Night Court, for example â but it feels like the fall TV season, delayed by the actors and writers strikes, officially begins this Wednesday with the returns of the One Chicago shows: Chicago Fire, Chicago P.D., and Chicago Med. Of those, Chicago Fire has the biggest news with the return of leading man Taylor Kinneyâs Severide. NBCâs trio of Law & Order shows returns Thursday. Most other networks begin their seasons in February, giving NBC a head start. Will it pan out for the Peacock?]( SEASON 3 PREMIERES THURSDAY ON MAX [Sort Of definitively signs off]( [The third and final season of Bilal Baig's tender, low-key dramedy finds Sabi (Baig) processing their particularly complicated grief after the death of their father. Free of his expectations, they begin to confront old and new questions about their identity. It'll be sad to say goodbye to one of TV's most underrated gems, but if we're confident in any show's ability to stick the landing, it's this one. -Allison Picurro]( SEASON 2 PREMIERES FRIDAY ON NETFLIX [Love on the Spectrum U.S. is romance unfiltered]( [There are few shows out there that are truly wholesome â MasterChef Junior, certain seasons of The Great British Baking Show, and Bluey come to mind â but perhaps at the top of that list is Netflixâs Love on the Spectrum, a docuseries following young adults on the autism spectrum as they search for love. The second season of the American version comes out this weekend, and it follows up with the participants of the first season, some of whom are now in long-term relationships. Their perspectives on love are straightforward, hilarious, wise, and relatable in every way. And whatâs best is they never feel exploited or forced into doing something they donât want to. Itâs genuine through and through, and the perfect way to wash away a long week.](
