Netflix, a champion of digital entertainment experiences, is reportedly [opening up a series of retail stores]( where fans of the streamer can hang out when they’re not watching Emily in Paris Season 3 for the 74th time. The stores, dubbed Netflix House, will feature dining, rotating art installations based on popular shows, live performances (whatever that means), and, presumably, a gift shop loaded with Virgin River phone cases. There have been worse ideas in history, but not many. Now might be the time to dump that Netflix stock. Here’s what to watch this week. -Tim   Your Watch This Now! newsletter is created by Senior Recommendations and Reviews Editor Tim Surette and more show-obsessed editors at TV Guide!   WEDNESDAY AT 8/7C ON PBS (CHECK LOCAL LISTINGS) [The Platypus Guardian is a real creature feature]( [This Halloween, we’ll all obsess over fictional monsters whose disgusting bodies snarl in the face of evolution. But why do that when we can marvel at one of those in the real world? The latest season of the venerable Nature kicks off with The Platypus Guardian, which follows a man in Tasmania who, after befriending a young platypus named Zoom, goes to great lengths to protect urban platypuses from a changing world. Everyone knows about the duck bill and the flat tail of this incredible animal, but do you know about the platypus love donut? You will if you watch it.]( THURSDAY ON NETFLIX [Bodies looks pretty good]( [Honesty time. I don’t know anything about this new show Bodies. But I watched the trailer, and it looks pretty good! Bare minimum research tells me that it’s based on a Vertigo comic and that it’s a murder mystery spanning decades where the same dead body shows up over different eras, from the late 1800s to the near future, linking detectives across time to each other. Stephen Graham stars. Heck yeah, sign me up sight unseen!]( FRIDAY ON APPLE TV+ AND SUNDAY AT 9/8C ON HBO [The Pigeon Tunnel and AKA Mr. Chow are two docs on two very different but fascinating men]( [Two documentaries about two very different men who lived more fascinating lives than we’ll ever live hit streamers this week. First up on Friday is Apple TV+’s The Pigeon Tunnel, an Errol Morris-directed film about John le Carré, the former British spy who became one of the greatest spy fiction authors (Tinker Tailor Soldier Spy, The Night Manager). On Sunday, HBO delivers AKA Mr. Chow, which looks at artist and restaurateur Michael Chow, a worldly man who came from nowhere to act in major motion pictures and create some of the country’s biggest hot spots with his Mr. Chow restaurants. One look at these documentaries and you’ll wonder what you’ve done with your life.]( FOLLOW THE CLUES TO YOUR NEXT FAVORITE SHOW [More shows like Only Murders in the Building]( [Just because Season 3 of Hulu’s Only Murders in the Building is over, it doesn’t mean you can’t find a good comedy murder mystery. In fact, you can even find another show to watch about nosey podcasters obsessed with true crime! Our list of shows like Only Murders in the Building feature twisting mysteries and laughs that aren’t limited to just one building.]( [Privacy Policy]( | [Terms of Service]( | [View in Browser]( [Unsubscribe]( © 2023 TV Guide, A Fandom, Inc. company.
