Itâs Tax Day, which is the day when I regret making fun of everyone for doing their taxes in February while I look under the mattress for my W2s in a panic. Hopefully you got yours in on time, or if you are a tax dodger, hopefully your Bahamian bank accounts are in order and your go bag full of fake mustaches and Hawaiian shirts is packed just in case. Itâs a light week for new television, but hereâs what you should watch. -Tim Your Watch This Now! newsletter is created by Senior Recommendations and Reviews Editor Tim Surette and more show-obsessed editors at TV Guide! LIMITED SERIES PREMIERES WEDNESDAY ON HULU [Under the Bridge is a grungy true-crime drama]( Riley Keough (Daisy Jones & the Six) stars in this adaptation of Rebecca Godfrey's true-crime novel about the 1997 murder of teenage girl Reena Virk in British Columbia, Canada. As Godfrey (played by Keough) becomes intertwined with the case, she exposes a hidden underworld of cruel teenagers, mob mentality, and a community that was devastated by the crime. Lily Gladstone, fresh off her Oscar nomination for her role in Martin Scorseseâs Killers of the Flower Moon, also stars as Cam Bentland, one of the only women of color on the B.C. police force. The Pacific Northwest provides a gloomy mood for Under the Bridge, which feels like an appropriate follow-up to [True Detectiveâs recent fourth season]( with its female investigators and focus on issues of race and socioeconomic status. Two episodes premiere this week, with new ones airing weekly after that.
SERIES PREMIERES THURSDAY ON MAX [Conan OâBrien Must Go sends a goofball overseas]( [As long as there are places to go, there will be travel shows going to those places. And as long as the hosts of the shows are good, I will watch them go to those places. Hosts don't get much better than Conan O'Brien, who travels to Thailand, Ireland, Norway, and Argentina to meet friends he's made through his podcast Conan O'Brien Needs a Fan. While on the road, Conan does Conan things, like make a fool of himself and argue over the pronunciation of "tango." We wouldn't want it any other way.]( SEASON 2 PREMIERES SUNDAY AT 10/9C ON HBO AND MAX [The Jinx - Part Two continues of of TVâs true-crime greats]( [I don't know what's more unbelievable: that The Jinx, a monumental moment in true-crime television that investigated real estate mogul Robert Durst and his possible involvement in the murder of three people, came out over nine years ago, or that we haven't been given another season, more episodes, or some way to capitalize on the fervor around the show until now. Almost a decade after we heard Durst's bizarre confession at a urinal, filmmaker Andrew Jarecki uncovers more details on the murder cases and interviews new witnesses. It's hard to think this could have the impact that the first did â in a timely coincidence, Durst was arrested for the murder of Susan Berman the day before The Jinx finale aired â given that Durst died in 2022 before he could go to trial, but for those feeling that the case is incomplete, these six episodes should suffice.]( THE BIG GET BIGGER [The best shows on Netflix]( Netflix continues to do what it does best, which is spend lots of money to make a lot of shows to drown out its competitors. April has already been busy for the streamer, which added The Talented Mr. Ripley adaptation Ripley, the Korean sci-fi horror Parasyte: The Grey, a new season of the teen drama Heartbreak High, and Justin Willmanâs new magic show The Magic Prank Show. Theyâre all on [our list of the best TV shows to watch on Netflix]( as are dozens more.
