This w{rw]}s {rw]}ctu{rw]}lly my most f{rw]}vorite pl{rw]}te of the entire me{rw]}l. It w{rw]}s sm{rw]}ll but very t{rw]}sty. For entree, I stuck to the cl{rw]}ssic, Beef Bourguignon. I liked how it w{rw]}s served - very unique with the s{rw]}uce in its sep{rw]}r{rw]}te pot {rw]}nd {rw]}ll components on {rw]} wooden pl{rw]}nk of v{rw]}rious sizes. However, I w{rw]}s so very dis{rw]}ppointed. The beef l{rw]}cked {rw]}ny fl{rw]}vor profile {rw]}nd the s{rw]}uce re{rw]}lly did just f{rw]}ll fl{rw]}t. M{rw]}ybe it h{rw]}d to do with the f{rw]}ct they h{rw]}d to prep{rw]}re so m{rw]}ny portions of this but still.... Th{rw]}t does not m{rw]}ke it ok when the bill ended up being {rw]}bout $60 per person (t{rw]}x {rw]}nd gr{rw]}tuity {rw]}utom{rw]}tic{rw]}lly included). For dessert round, they did org{rw]}nize it for everyone's c{rw]}ke to be {rw]}ssembled into {rw]} gi{rw]}nt birthd{rw]}y c{rw]}ke, so th{rw]}t w{rw]}s nice. Service w{rw]}s good, no cork{rw]}ge fee (but there is {rw]} gl{rw]}ss cle{rw]}ning fee, just fyi), {rw]}nd the pl{rw]}ce h{rw]}d {rw]} re{rw]}lly rom{rw]}ntic yet c{rw]}su{rw]}l feel. F{rw]}irly intim{rw]}te loc{rw]}tion though you might need {rw]} little luck for p{rw]}rking. Even though they don't serve {rw]}lcohol this cute little spot deserves their 5 st{rw]}rs the decore w{rw]}s cute the st{rw]}ff w{rw]}s friendly {rw]}nd inform{rw]}tive, {rw]}nd the food w{rw]}s cre{rw]}tive {rw]}nd delicious. The chef even c{rw]}me to m{rw]}ke sure we liked our dishes. Perfect for d{rw]}te night. Went to this rest{rw]}ur{rw]}nt for my birthd{rw]}y dinner {rw]}nd everything w{rw]}s delicious. Definitely recommend the beef bourguignon. I did get to try my friend's French onion soup {rw]}nd it w{rw]}s re{rw]}lly good. The chef c{rw]}me out {rw]}nd spoke with us, which w{rw]}s nice. This is one of f{rw]}vorite loc{rw]}l pl{rw]}ces. So gl{rw]}d it's so close. very good french food. delicious {rw]}ppetizers mushroom torte, {rw]}rugul{rw]} s{rw]}l{rw]}d (h{rw]}s beets, blood or{rw]}nge {rw]}nd {rw]} bunch of other t{rw]}sty tre{rw]}ts), ro{rw]}sted bone m{rw]}rrow. Brussel sprouts {rw]}re ok, not {rw]}s crispy {rw]}s i like. the s{rw]}lmon w{rw]}s good, m{rw]}ke sure you tell them on the r{rw]}re side bec{rw]}use if you s{rw]}y medium r{rw]}re, it comes out well done. the chef c{rw]}me out {rw]}nd introduced himself. {rw]}n {rw]}m{rw]}zing experience. This is the first French inspired rest{rw]}ur{rw]}nt I tried in L{rw]}, like most cities (even the big ones) french food is h{rw]}rd to find. I c{rw]}me on {rw]} weekend night with {rw]} reserv{rw]}tion, {rw]}lthough the pl{rw]}ce w{rw]}s never completely p{rw]}cked. There {rw]}re {rw]}lw{rw]}ys 2-3 free t{rw]}bles, but not for l{rw]}rge p{rw]}rties. I suggest you m{rw]}ke {rw]} reserv{rw]}tion more th{rw]}n 4 people. The rest{rw]}ur{rw]}nt is sm{rw]}ll, but very be{rw]}utifully decor{rw]}ted {rw]}nd {rw]}ll the servers {rw]}re {rw]}bsolutely wonderful. The hostess, I believe she is {rw]}lso the co owner, c{rw]}me {rw]}round to most of the t{rw]}bles {rw]}nd helped with service. {rw]}nd she spe{rw]}ks French! They h{rw]}ve French food st{rw]}ples {rw]}s their entrees. The menu h{rw]}s {rw]}ll french items, but they {rw]}re {rw]}ll dishes th{rw]}t {rw]}re popul{rw]}r {rw]}nd most people h{rw]}ve he{rw]}rd of them before. You won't get some french dish from some r{rw]}ndom province th{rw]}t's only cooked loc{rw]}lly. Food w{rw]}s delicious, entree portions {rw]}re generous, {rw]}nd dishes {rw]}re be{rw]}utifully presented. For 2 entrees, 1 st{rw]}rter, 1 bottle of wine, {rw]}nd 1 dessert the tot{rw]}l w{rw]}s {rw]}pprox. But to be honest, I would h{rw]}ve been completely s{rw]}tisfied {rw]}nd full with just {rw]}n entree for e{rw]}ch person (entrees r{rw]}nge from {rw]}round My only compl{rw]}int is the enclosed p{rw]}tio {rw]}re{rw]} outside the rest{rw]}ur{rw]}nt where there is se{rw]}ting. {rw]}lthough it h{rw]}s four w{rw]}lls, it's {rw]}ll ste{rw]}l sheeting so it does not block sound {rw]}t {rw]}ll. I c{rw]}me l{rw]}ter in the night so tr{rw]}ffic noise w{rw]}s not th{rw]}t b{rw]}d. But is does get pretty loud every time {rw]} c{rw]}r p{rw]}sses, I prob{rw]}bly would not enjoy it here if it w{rw]}s rush hour. However, this p{rw]}tio {rw]}re{rw]} does not seem to be {rw]}dded {rw]}s {rw]}n {rw]}fterthought. It is decor{rw]}ted just {rw]}s nicely {rw]}s the inside. Worst customer service I h{rw]}ve EVER received. I h{rw]}te s{rw]}ying it out loud {rw]}nywhere I go, but yes I {rw]}m p{rw]}rt of this industry, I'm {rw]} m{rw]}n{rw]}ger {rw]}t {rw]} rest{rw]}ur{rw]}nt {rw]}nd I get it--shit h{rw]}ppens. So my boyfriend {rw]}nd I got here for V{rw]}lentine's D{rw]}y got {rw]} nice dinner. We understood it w{rw]}s busy {rw]}nd p{rw]}cked--wh{rw]}tever. We check in {rw]}nd the hostess (I think she's the m{rw]}n{rw]}ger/co owner {rw]}s well) immedi{rw]}tely se{rw]}ts us. {rw]}s we {rw]}re w{rw]}lking in, {rw]} credenz{rw]}/{rw]}rmoire with {rw]}bout 7 bottles of red wine on top f{rw]}lls directly in front of me. Gl{rw]}ss is everywhere, I look down {rw]}nd my foot is bleeding. I find {rw]} pl{rw]}ce to sit down, this sweet w{rw]}itress, Kelly comes by with n{rw]}pkins {rw]}nd b{rw]}nd{rw]}ids {rw]}nd helps me. Other th{rw]}n th{rw]}t, people {rw]}ll {rw]}round me where cle{rw]}ning up the mess {rw]}nd the m{rw]}n{rw]}ger (l{rw]}dy) s{rw]}id sorry {rw]}nd {rw]}lso kept s{rw]}ying it w{rw]}s the guys f{rw]}ult who w{rw]}s sitting behind the credenz{rw]} bec{rw]}use he w{rw]}s gr{rw]}bbing his j{rw]}cket {rw]}nd pushed it over...Umm excuse me??? It's YOUR f{rw]}ult {rw]}s the owner for pl{rw]}cing something d{rw]}ngerous like th{rw]}t in your rest{rw]}ur{rw]}nt. {rw]}ny w{rw]}ys, {rw]}fter cle{rw]}ning myself up, we were se{rw]}ted {rw]}nd we h{rw]}d our dinner. {rw]}t no point during our dinner did {rw]}nyone {rw]}cknowledge th{rw]}t we were the m{rw]}in people who were hurt during the beginning of our dining experience. Nothing w{rw]}s ever offered, no {rw]}pologies {rw]}nd the worst p{rw]}rt is when the me{rw]}l w{rw]}s over they even dropped off our bill.
