These include commonly used pesticides like bifenthrin, a possible carcinogen sprayed on strawberries, blueberries and leafy greens. Maine has enacted legislation to ban pesticides with intentionally added PFAS starting in 2030, unless using them is unavoidable. But the EPA has failed to protect our health. PFAS are linked to many health impacts, including reproductive harm and higher risk of cancer, and should not be sprayed on our food. But the EPA keeps giving Big Ag the green light to douse our food in toxic pesticides and PFAS chemicals. Enough is enough.
