The American bumblebee population has declined by 89 percent and has entirely disappeared in eight states Have you heard, friend? The American bumblebee population has declined by 89 percent and has entirely disappeared in eight states, yet Big Ag continues to dump millions of pounds of bee-killing pesticides on American farmland each year! 4,779 of our top supporters have already taken action to protect bees, but I don’t see your response, friend. [Do you have one minute to complete our quick survey before midnight tonight to help EWG protect our pollinators?]( Bee-killing pesticides, known as neonics, have been linked to the massive global decline in bee populations AND nervous system harm in kids. The EU has already banned four neonics. We think it’s time for the U.S. to follow suit. [Should the EPA BAN bee-killing pesticides?]( [YES]( [NO]( Thanks for your response, friend. Maura Walsh VP, Digital Strategies, EWG ---------- Original Message ---------- From: Maura Walsh, EWG Date: Wednesday, October 20, 2021 Subject: BREAKING: Bees decline by 89 percent! [EWG] [EWG] [Should the EPA BAN bee-killing pesticides?]( [YES]( [NO]( This is devastating, friend. American bumblebee populations have already dropped by 89 percent and have entirely disappeared in eight states, according to a recent study. Their rapid decline is so alarming, the U.S Fish and Wildlife Service is considering adding these key pollinators to the endangered species list! Yet Big Ag continues to dump millions of pounds of bee-killing neonic pesticides on American farmland each year. This is despite the fact that the most common uses of neonics provide little benefit to farmers! These dangerous chemicals don’t just affect bees, they may also harm kids’ developing nervous systems and brains. The CDC recently found neonics in 50% of children in the U.S. ages 3 to 5! The EU has already banned four neonics. We think it’s time for the U.S. to follow suit. [Do you think the EPA should ban bee-killing pesticides?]( We need 1,500 of our top supporters to weigh in by midnight tonight to help us formulate our plans to protect bees and ban neonics. Do you have two minutes to complete [our quick survey]( [Should the EPA BAN bee-killing pesticides?]( [YES]( [NO]( Thanks for your feedback, friend.
