[Environmental Working Group] We have just days to convince the EPA to put protecting children’s brains before the interests of Big Ag and chemical companies. In April, a federal court gave the EPA until mid-July to make a final decision about a ban of chlorpyrifos, a neurotoxic pesticide that can cause brain damage in children. Studies by the EPA’s own scientists show that chlorpyrifos impairs children’s IQ and brain development. But Andrew Wheeler and the EPA have fought to keep this dangerous chemical on the market, reversing a decision by the Obama administration and fighting court orders to ban the chemical. URGENT: EPA facing court deadline on a neurotoxic pesticide! [Join EWG and tell the EPA to BAN brain-damaging chlorpyrifos!]( Dear friend, We have just days to convince the EPA to put protecting children’s brains before the interests of Big Ag and chemical companies. [The EPA’s support of chlorpyrifos is outrageous. We need to ban chlorpyrifos now.]( A recent study by Emory University found chlorpyrifos in 60 PERCENT of conventional milk samples, and new research suggests kids face a greater risk of ADHD when mothers are exposed to pesticides, including chlorpyrifos, during pregnancy. We have one last chance before the court deadline to make our voices heard and get this dangerous chemical out of our environment. We must fight back. Will you join us? [Sign our petition and tell the EPA it’s time to stand up for children’s health and finally ban the brain-damaging pesticide chlorpyrifos!]( This isn’t the first time the Trump administration has put chemical industry profits ahead of public health, and it won’t be the last. Just look at what the EPA has done already: - Allowed hazardous chemicals like chlorpyrifos, TCE and methylene chloride to stay on the market. - Insisted that Monsanto’s infamous pesticide glyphosate is not linked to cancer, contradicting the World Health Organization. - Delayed or suppressed studies of nonstick PFAS chemicals and formaldehyde. We’re so close to getting this dangerous pesticide out of our environment and away from our kids. The administration is making a last-ditch effort to appease the chemical industry. We need to make sure they know Americans won’t stand for it. Stand up with EWG and make your voice heard! Tell the EPA to stand up for children’s health, not chemical industry profits. [ADD YOUR NAME: Protect kids from the brain-damaging pesticide chlorpyrifos. The EPA is out of excuses and must take action on this chemical NOW!]( Thanks for standing with us, friend. - EWG Rapid Response [Contribute]( [UNSUBSCRIBE]( | [CHANGE OPTIONS]( Remember to add ewg@ewg.org to your contact list.
