This National Voter Registration Day, register to vote for my future. [–]( Hi– Today is National Voter Registration Day. As a first-time presidential voter, I'm so excited to cast my ballot for my future. I am voting because I want a president who will take action and make change. I don't want a leader who sows division, fuels hatred, and brags about being pro-gun and supporting the NRA. I want a president who cares about the American people and will fight for us. I want a president who brings us together, fuels love, justice, and equality. I want a president who takes the gun violence epidemic seriously, stands for gun violence prevention, and will take bold action. [This National Voter Registration Day, join me in building a future free from gun violence by making sure you're registered to vote.]( [REGISTER TO VOTE]( Then, take two more important actions to help us defeat gun extremists at the ballot box this November: - [Make your plan to vote]( - [Sign up to mobilize gun sense voters from home]( I'm voting because so many American students and youth across the nation have experienced gun violence in their schools—watching their classmates, best friends, and teachers die. Communities have been traumatized. America has become numb to gun violence because of how common and "normal" it has become in our society. We deserve to go to school, go to class, and grow up without the fear of gun violence. As a volunteer with Students Demand Action, I stay motivated in this work for my brother who is in high school, my friends in college, my parents at work—my fear that gun violence could change my life in a matter of seconds. This election is our chance to make our voices heard—to cast our ballots for the future we want to build. A future where we can grow up without the fear of gun violence, where our communities are safe, and common-sense gun laws are a reality. [Do your part by confirming your voter registration today.]( One vote can change the outcome of an election. And with so much at stake this November, we can't afford to sit on the sidelines.
