We're done with lawmakers who prioritize access to guns over the safety of our communities. Hi–

We're done with lawmakers who prioritize access to guns over the safety of our communities. [–]( Hi– Extremist violence using or threatening violence with a gun has become an alarming element of American life. Between 2017 and 2021, an extremist who had used, threatened to use, or had ready access to a gun when they committed an alleged crime was charged every nine days. Extremists see guns as the most effective tools for their violent aims—and our lax gun laws enable them easy access to firearms. We can defeat armed extremism at the ballot box this November by signaling to the gun lobby that we're done with lawmakers who prioritize access to guns over the safety of our communities. [Help defeat armed extremism: Build our movement and mobilize voters with the Gun Sense Action Network.]( At the top of the ticket, there's only one leader who will protect our communities against the threat of gun violence: Kamala Harris. We're committed to sending Vice President Harris to the Oval Office and electing gun sense champions to Congress, state legislatures, and school boards all across the country. Because "freedom" means protecting our communities by keeping guns out of the hands of those who shouldn't have them—like domestic abusers, violent extremists, and people in crisis. As California Attorney General, Harris led the fight to pass a Red Flag law, becoming only the third state at the time to do so. And as a U.S. Senator, she co-sponsored legislation to help protect survivors of domestic violence and to help survivors of gun violence access life-saving resources. There's a lot at stake this election. You don't need a ton of time to have a big impact—select a call window that usually works well for you and we'll plug you into weekly actions to fight for a future free from gun violence. [Do your part by making calls to elect gun sense champions and grow our movement.]( Thanks for taking action, Amanda Szkutak She/Her/Hers Associate Director, Distributed Organizing Everytown for Gun Safety As a movement of Americans fighting for common-sense gun policies, we depend on contributions from supporters like you to fund important work to reduce gun violence.
