Don't you think it's time for an update? [–]( Hi– A lot has changed in the last 50+ years—but the laws that gun dealers must follow have not. Luckily, a bill is moving through Congress to bring our gun laws into the 21st century. The Federal Firearm Licensee Act (FFLA) updates and strengthens the outdated laws that hold gun dealers accountable. The FFLA was just introduced in the Senate—so we're urging our senators to prioritize gun safety by co-sponsoring this life-saving bill. [Send a message to Sens. Schumer and Gillibrand in support of the FFLA today.]( [SEND MY MESSAGE]( This bill strengthens background checks, recordkeeping and physical security, and inspection requirements for gun dealers—and ensures that bad actors in the industry are held accountable. Thanks to our movement's advocacy, we've already secured more than 100 co-sponsors for the FFLA in the House. Now, it's the Senate's turn to hold the gun industry accountable. [Send your U.S. senators a message to help us push this bill over the finish line.]( Thanks for taking action, Kali Lasher-Sommers She/Her/Hers Director, Federal Legislative Campaigns Everytown for Gun Safety As a movement of Americans fighting for common-sense gun policies, we depend on contributions from supporters like you to fund important work to reduce gun violence.
