Fuel our fight to stop dangerous gun bills that puts our students at risk [–]( Unsurprisingly, the way to save students from being shot and killed in schools is NOT more guns in school. Gun lobby-backed state legislators across the country are feverishly pushing dangerous legislation to arm teachers and school staff, adding more guns into our schools. Enough is enough. In this critical moment, we need your support to help build an unstoppable movement to end gun violence in America, stop bad bills in their tracks, and fight for stronger gun laws in the most effective way possible. [Chip in now and support our fight for gun safety. We'll need all the resources we can get to defeat dangerous bills all across the country and build a massive outcry against the gun lobby that's too loud to ignore.]( Look, these are just some of the bad bills making moves throughout legislatures across the country: - Last week, Iowa Governor Kim Reynolds signed a bill allowing school employees to bring guns onto school property-just months after the mass school shooting at Perry High School. - Just yesterday, Tennessee House lawmakers passed a similar bill that would put students at risk, a little over one year after the mass shooting at Covenant School in Nashville, where a former student killed three nine-year-old students and three staff members-the deadliest mass shooting in Tennessee history. - But that's not all: Louisiana, Georgia, Utah, Wyoming, Alaska, Idaho, South Dakota, Missouri, Nebraska, and West Virginia are all considering bills that would effectively put more guns in classrooms. This truly is an all-hands-on-deck moment for gun safety. If we're going to keep up the fight to put an end to gun violence, then we can't afford to backdown-not now, not ever. [Help us mount the most effective opposition to dangerous bills and to hold the gun lobby accountable across the country with a gift today. Together, we can help pass stronger gun safety laws and keep communities safe.]( Thank you for your support, Angela Ferrell-Zabala She/Her/Hers Executive Director, Moms Demand Action & Senior Vice President of Movement Building Everytown for Gun Safety As a movement of Americans fighting for common-sense gun policies, we depend on contributions from supporters like you to fund important work to reduce gun violence.
