Marriage and parenthood are two of the biggest inconveniences you can experience. Greetings Everyday

Marriage and parenthood are two of the biggest inconveniences you can experience. Greetings Everyday Spy, Marriage and parenthood are two of the biggest inconveniences you can experience. Your wants, desires, and needs always come second. Your good mood can get crushed in seconds by someone else’s melt-down. And your sense of individuality ends up twisted together with other people that you cannot control. Where marriage leaves you frustrated, parenthood heaps exhaustion on top of that. But the two are also some of the greatest achievements you can ever hope for. Accomplishments that not everyone has the opportunity to reach, despite prayer, effort, and money. Every once in a while I get a slap-in-my-face reminder of the inconveniences that come with a wife and family. Jihi’s anxiety spikes when we are off routine, like when we travel. Which is a lot. But travel and new places have the opposite effect on the kids, amping their energy to extremes and totally destroying their daily routine. And in the middle of our youngest daughter’s highs and Jihi’s lows I am left trying to hold everyone together… - And grow a business - And make my wife feel loved and supported - And engage/entertain the kids to make the most of their experience When I show up at a cafe to get some work done, I am surrounded by other adults enjoying their independence. They look well rested and well dressed (I’m not…). They are sitting back scrolling through social media, reading a good book, or laughing with a friend or date. And I can’t help but stare back at the clock over and over watching my limited time disappear before I have to move on to the next task. But even as I carry the weight and responsibility of a wife and children everywhere I go, I also get incredible comfort. Because they carry me, also… my wants, my desires, and my needs. They give me encouragement. They give me support. They laugh at my jokes and love my stories. They always think I’m handsome. They never doubt my success. And they thank me constantly with hugs, kisses, smiles, and cuddles. They are part of my #SpyTribe… and [they are part of yours, too.]( Godspeed, #EverydaySpy P.S. - [Ready to sit-in on private conversations with real-world cover operatives from around the world?]( your unlimited access to ‘Shadow Lessons’ today!]( Follow @EverydaySpy on Social Media!
