In any spy mission, a safehouse is always the best option for a covert meeting. Greetings Everyday Spy, In any spy mission, a safehouse is always the best option for a covert meeting. - You are in control of the space - Time, date, arrival and departure can all built around secrecy - The location can be far away from foot traffic and curious people Then came Google maps... When mapping tech merges with the world-wide-web, it can be very hard to keep a secret. Such is the case with the ‘Secret CIA Safe House’ you see in the image above. For any FBI, CIA, or foreign intel folks waiting to catch me spilling classified information - today is not that day. I have no idea whether this location is, was, or ever will be used for an actual covert CIA operation. But it is an awesome example for you to learn from. This location would make an excellent safehouse in real life - both for secret meetings and for everyday life. First, there is the physical layout. This home appears to be a one-story single family home with an attic space. That space could be converted to allow for a living space, but it is clear that the main living spaces are at ground level. A ground floor safehouse means you have multiple entry and exit locations (doors, windows, garage, etc.) all within a few feet of each other. It also reduces the risk of hostile cameras/audio bugs because it is difficult for a hostile service to approach the outer walls. Compare that to a highrise apartment and I’m sure you can see the benefits. A second benefit of this location is its multiple points of roadway access. This location has 3 different ways to get to the building, using any one of 5 different primary roads. In reverse, there are equally as many unique departure routes. This means as many as 6 different people could meet in the same location without overlapping routes until the final few feet/meters. This location is incredibly secure to approach, meet, and [exit in a hurry if needed.]( And while I doubt it is currently being used by anyone except a nice Danish family, I am confident there are hundreds of locations just like it around the world hosting secret meetings every day.
