Sometimes the best memories come from an unexpected turn of events. Greetings Everyday Spy, Sometime

Sometimes the best memories come from an unexpected turn of events. Greetings Everyday Spy, Sometimes the best memories come from an unexpected turn of events. My daily routine starts with a workout and then digging into some writing for the morning. But some days, after a couple middle of the night wake-ups where one or both of the kids wants to get tucked in (...again), I opt out of my morning run. And that’s usually how I find myself nestled between my son and daughter watching a movie I remembered from a long time ago. On one of those unexpected mornings, I made breakfast for the family and watched the kids dance around the room to our family playlist on my phone. Then my brilliant idea struck! “You guys wanna go to Paris today?” My daughter yelled ‘yes!’ But she says yes to every crazy idea I have. She is thirsty for adventure all the time. But my older son looked at me confused. “What do you mean, dad? I thought Paris was in… not America.” It’s a closely guarded family secret that I’m a total sucker for musicals. Broadway classics, 1950’s films, Pixar, Disney, Dreamworks, you name it. I’ve been growing my musical palate to include rock operas like Tommy (by the Who) and The Astonishing (by Dream Theatre). When my son was still a newborn, I used to lean on musicals to get me through the baby witching hours of 2am-6am, so my wife could get a reasonable break and rest. Despite my every effort to hide my secret love of musicals though, Netflix has me pegged. So when I open the app, there is always a list of musicals, “you might like…” And at the top of the list one day was a French-made animated musical called ‘A Monster in Paris.’ One of my earliest and fondest memories with my son was hearing him breathe and feeling his weight while he slept on my shoulder as I watched ‘A Monster in Paris’ for the first time in 2013. For some reason, that moment is sealed in my mind and my heart forever - my desire to show him Paris, the great music in the film, the moral of the story, and the joy of discovering something new! So when I got the chance to share the movie with my kids years later, I couldn’t resist. And when I saw them jump up to dance to the music in the final scene, I made a new wonderful memory that will last a lifetime… Godspeed, #EverydaySpy P.S. - [Everything starts somewhere, and the best place to start learning spy skills is with my first eBook]( Espionage: Winning the Workplace!
