Everyone’s asking WHAT HAPPENS NEXT?! [Image](https://) Greetings Everyday Spy, As Israel demolishes Gaza, the question everyone’s asking is WHAT HAPPENS NEXT?! Israel’s made it clear that they intend to blink Hamas out of existence, leaving Gaza’s future up for grabs. As of now, there is no clear plan about who will take responsibility for the Gazan enclave after the dust settles. - Will a new, more radical, Islamist militant organization rise from the Gazan ashes? - Will Israel annex the desecrated Palestinian land and resettle it? - Will Hamas miraculously survive the assault and return as Hamas 2.0? The US is betting on the Palestinian Authority, who already governs the West Bank. The other day, Secretary of State Antony Blinken said, “Gaza must include Palestinian-led governance [and be] unified with the West Bank under the Palestinian Authority.” Which sounds like a great idea… to anyone unfamiliar with Palestinian politics. The PA can hardly govern its own slice of land. PA president, Mahmoud Abbas, visited Jenin in the West Bank earlier this year, and was promptly chased out. The president isn’t even welcome in his own territory… How can he take on a war-torn enclave that had no interest in his government in the first place? Other Palestinian authorities voiced that they wouldn’t govern Gaza for various reasons. The former PA viceroy to Gaza said he would refuse an offer because the political situation has become so messy that not a single person could help. And the PLO (remember them?) warned Palestinians to avoid the thought crime of considering life after Hamas. To them, the only option if for the Palestinian resistance to win. It seems no one wants to touch Gaza… except for the UAE. The very same UAE that wrote history by signing the Abraham Accords with Israel. This week, the UAE unveiled plans to build a field hospital in Gaza. But don’t be fooled by the humanitarian hullabaloo… As much as it is needed. The UAE’s move is political all the way. - They’re the only Arab government to denounce Hamas’ 10/7 attack. - They’re building the hospital without permission from Hamas. - And they refuse to cut ties with Israel despite outside pressure. As the war enters the next stage, take note of who starts moving into Gaza. Both in a military and humanitarian sense… As geopolitics draws a very fine line between the two.
