And that’s hardly an exaggeration… The Virginia GOP tore down Democrat candidate Susanna Gibson’s reputation by mailing pictures from her old porn days to local voters. Residents opened their mailboxes to find a flyer with big red letters stating: EXPLICIT CONTENT. Inside, there were pictures from her porn live streams, and alleged quotes about what she’d do to/with her husband for money. What’s so interesting about this is that it’s the perfect example of sex being used as both a tool and a weapon. We don’t get such explicit public examples very often, so it’s one to pay attention to. First, consider that Gibson used sex as a tool to influence followers to happily give up their hard-earned cash. She leveraged sex as a tool to get people tuned in to watch her. And it was exciting and profitable. Any woman – no matter her age, looks, or abilities – can do this online and be successful. That is how powerful the human sex drive is. On the flip side, that same tool was turned against her to destroy any chance she had at winning the House race on November 7. She was already trending slightly behind in the polls, and hadn’t raised as much money as her GOP opponent. Using her sex work against her was the kill shot. Mind you, this attack wasn’t made to turn her base against her. If anything, her base has doubled down on their support. This message was for the donors, the corporations, and the money that drives her campaign. At this point, it doesn’t matter how she responds to the attack.
