And their lessons for you [Image](https://) Greetings Everyday Spy, Not all heroes wear capes… They’re not on the front covers of magazines… And, because of the classified nature of their work, we don’t even know about their acts until decades later. For example, in 1962, a Soviet officer Vasili Alexandrovich Arkhipov disobeyed a direct order from his captain to fire nuclear missiles, because the data of an apparent US attack was inconclusive. He just wasn’t 100% sure that there was an attack happening. Then, in 1983, a lieutenant colonel in the Soviet Air Defense Forces, Stanislav Petrov, decided not to launch nuclear missiles on the US, even though the radars were showing the US missiles heading towards Russia. It turned out there was a radar glitch. These are just two occasions that we know of, where the world was at the brink of a nuclear war… but it was avoided by brave decisions of just a few people. And we didn’t know about these until just a few years ago when the files were declassified. The fact is - people working in intelligence agencies all over the world have a wealth of (untold and unshared) knowledge. Knowledge you can implement at any aspect of your life, business, or relationships. And benefit from it. That’s why we believe [you’ll love Shadow Lessons](.
