The key to pushing past your limits Greetings Everyday Spy, I've worked with some of the most elite

The key to pushing past your limits [Image](https://) Greetings Everyday Spy, I've worked with some of the most elite people in the world: U.S. Special Forces, British MI6, Australian SIS, German BND, and more. Sometimes we only worked together for a few days. Other times, we lived in small camps for months or even years. We counted on each other a lot. We practiced everything over and over again. We tested our gear in all kinds of places. Even when we thought we were ready, we made back-up plans just in case. The best trained operators in the world all started out as regular folks, just like you. The only difference: They got [special training every day.]( We all served with pride, but we also looked forward to going back to a normal life one day. When you work with the world's best warriors, you make friends with the world's best people. Special forces people really appreciate life. They have families, take care of their parents, and plan vacations just like anyone else. They have BBQs, split the bill at lunch after church, and go to school dances. But their job is to end some lives to save others. So they see each day of their own life as special. It's something they don't want to give up. In the late 2000s, I worked with a European partner against a shared enemy. We spent a lot of time together, both in and out of the office. We planned while working out at the gym, talked about backup plans over meals outside, and made secret escape plans while exploring rivers and forests. It was a really hard time for both of us. Our work kept getting messed up. Sometimes by bad guys and sometimes by good guys making bad choices. Our country leaders would be friends one day and fight the next. Things changed a lot, and we had to travel at the last minute. Money came and went. We became friends by accident, brought together by stress and the goal of saving lives. But we felt like we were losing, no matter how hard we tried. Politics, priorities, and bad guys kept getting in our way. Our mental toughness was breaking down. We wanted to quit. But we knew that if we gave up mentally, the mission would fail. And that was not okay with us. Almost everyone can relate to giving up when the going gets tough. Sometimes they give up on a diet. Sometimes they give up on a marriage. Studies show 88% of people admit to giving up when things get too difficult. Not because they want to. But because they don't understand what you're learning right now. They run out of willpower. They lose hope. Their self-discipline fails. And they quit. In the previous email, we talked about how being disciplined with your body can [make your willpower stronger and help you resist temptation.]( Like the temptation to quit...to give up. But being disciplined with your body does something else important... It helps your body support your mind. To have mental discipline, you have to have physical discipline first. Godspeed, #EverydaySpy P.S. The truth is that you are just as capable as the most elite covert operators. By reading these emails, you're already building physical and mental willpower beyond what most ever accomplish. You're now ready for [real-world spy training to break any barrier at work or at home.]( Andrew Bustamante, Founder of EverydaySpy.com, is a former covert CIA Intelligence officer, decorated US Air Force Combat Veteran, and respected Fortune 500 senior advisor.
