All of my in-person training courses continue to increase in price⦠by a lot. Greetings Everyday Spy, All of my in-person training courses continue to increase in price⦠by a lot. If you are familiar with economics, business, or trade then you understand the law of supply and demand. As demand for a resource increases, the supply decreases. As the supply decreases, the price per unit goes up. It happens in everyday life with things like fuel, food, and property values. Itâs no surprise that it happens with EverydaySpy. And people still get angry... When your skills transition from common to specialized, the laws of economics massively increase your earning potential. Unskilled workers in fast-food restaurants will always be tied to earning the market value of other unskilled labor. And since there is high supply and low demand for unskilled labor, those workers will always struggle to make a living wage. But when you compare unskilled workers to specialized workers like neurosurgeons, aviation attorneys, or child speech therapists, you see why the second group has unlimited earning potential - because they work in an area where supply is low and demand is high. The biggest reason talented people struggle to earn more money is because they refuse to follow this simple economic law. Consider the typical government or military employee. They are hired young at an entry-level salary. By the half-way point of their career they are earning roughly 2x their starting salary. From inside the government, doubling your annual income after 15 years seems like a great deal! But in reality, the experience theyâve earned over that time makes them significantly underpaid according to the law of supply and demand. Outside of government, free market systems take over and your talent gets rewarded with higher income at an exponential rate! A mediocre sales person at a small insurance firm can easily earn 200% more than a 15-year experienced soldier or government worker. And when you add specialized skills and knowledge (like dentists, lawyers, architects, etc.), that 15 year annual salary goes higher and higher. When businesses succeed, the demand from new customers affects pricing, delivery, and operational norms. And if the business doesnât change, it fails. Remember when Netflix used to cost $7.99/month? Remember the original Dunkin Donuts recipes that were super tasty? Remember when only a few ivy-league universities were allowed to use Facebook? In all these cases, the businesses had to grow to serve a larger customer base. To meet the demand without breaking, they had to increase prices and change the way they did business. And change makes most people angry. Whether you are sitting at CIA changing a covert plan or sitting in Starbucks changing your schedule, you can be sure someone is going to get upset with you. Success is an excellent way to filter out the people who hold you back. The customers who complain to you about your higher prices clearly donât care about your service or the quality of your product - they care about themselves. The friends who guilt you about your high income, long work-hours, or lack of hobbies arenât friends at all - they are judgers. And when success comes and you make the changes that make others angry, Iâll be right beside you cheering you on. Because I donât waste my time on people who fear success - and neither should you.
