Get the latest on what’s happening at Evernote. [Evernote]( NEWS & STORIES [See the new Evernote features that’ll help you get things done]( Every Evernote update contains fixes and improvements—some big, some small. We’re also regularly adding features to help you stay on top of it all with our new apps. Here are just a few recent additions: • Thanks to some nifty new keyboard shortcuts, you can now create a new note (Ctrl+Opt+Cmd+N on Mac, Ctrl+Alt+N on Windows), open a new search (Ctrl+Cmd+V on Mac, Ctrl+Alt+V on Windows), or save a screenshot as a new note (Ctrl+Cmd+Del on Mac, Ctrl+Alt+S on Windows)—even if Evernote is in the background. • You can now [turn off the built-in spell checker]( in the Preferences menu. It's up too you! • If there’s an uncommon word you use often, you can ‘teach’ Evernote to recognize it. Just right-click the word and select “Learn Spelling” to add it to the app’s built-in dictionary. Take control of your keyboard shortcuts Why it's great: Did you know? There are over 100 keyboard shortcuts in Evernote for desktop that can save you time, but remembering all the combinations can be tough. Evernote’s new menu shows all your keyboard shortcuts all in one place, so you can find that elusive combination faster. You can also customize global shortcuts to access Evernote features like creating a note or searching your account—even if you’re in another application. How it works: • Open the keyboard shortcuts menu by pressing Cmd+/ on Mac or Ctrl+/ on Windows. • Use the search bar at the top of the menu to find the one you need, or scroll through the entire list (shortcuts are grouped by function for easier navigation). • Double-click on a global shortcut to change its key combination. If the new combination isn’t available, a warning message will appear.
