Throughout my journey of public service, I have broken barriers and made history by being young, openly gay, and Asian-American. Now, I have the opportunity to be the first LGBTQ+ and Asian-American representative for CA-16. {NAME}, I want to take you on a quick journey through my life and path of leadership. I was born in San Jose to Chinese-American parents. My brother and I grew up in an environment that fostered hard work, ambition, and dedication. I earned an associate’s degree from De Anza Community College in Cupertino. I finished my education at San Jose State University, where I received a bachelor’s in political science. [2006: I was elected to Campbell City Council as the first Asian-American, openly gay, and one of the youngest people ever elected 2009: At 26, I became the youngest Asian-American Mayor in the nation and served Campbell for two terms]( [SUPPORT MY CAMPAIGN]( Throughout my journey of public service, I have broken barriers and made history by being young, openly gay, and Asian-American. Now, I have the opportunity to be the first LGBTQ+ and Asian-American representative for CA-16. From community college to running for Congress, I have overcome many challenges and worked hard to deliver for the people of California. And my journey doesn’t end here. Now, he's running for Congress at an inflection point for Silicon Valley and the nation. Our region needs a representative who will lead on maintaining our global competitiveness, combat hate, stand up for the vulnerable, protect reproductive freedom, reduce crime in our communities, and ensure the middle class can once again afford to buy a house and raise a family where they work. Together, we will usher in a new era of courageous leadership for Silicon Valley. [To join our campaign, make a donation today.]( [unsubscribe]( This message was sent to {EMAIL}
