For forty years, it has been reauthorized and funded with bipartisan support— but Scott Perry STILL voted no. Eugene, on the other hand, used his time in office to decrease the backlog of untested rape kits and the thousands of unanswered calls to the Child Abuse Hotline. He made lawmakers and party leaders mad, but that didn’t stop him, and he got the job done. But Scott Perry doesn’t care about helping anyone but himself. As long as he has support from the far-right fringe of his own party, he’s more than happy to turn his back on us, ignore his responsibilities, and cut funding to help support victims of abuse.
