On September 30, we hit another end-of-quarter deadline, and we’ll have to report our numbers to the FEC. ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ [Eugene DePasquale for PA]( {NAME}, we’re coming up on an end-of-quarter deadline, and I want to explain a little bit about myself before I ask you to give. [But if you’re already familiar with my story, I’m asking you to chip in $10 or whatever you can today ahead of our end-of-quarter deadline.]( I grew up in a typical working-class family. When I wasn’t in school, I waited tables or washed dishes at the family’s neighborhood restaurant. What little time was left, I spent on the courts and fields playing basketball, football, and baseball. My upbringing and the people I grew up around, in school, and at my family’s neighborhood restaurant, shaped my life and provided direction throughout and after college and law school. I worked at a non-profit that helped young people with mental and physical disabilities and then embarked on a public service career. I challenged Harrisburg’s status quo and set an example as a reformer. I demanded more government accountability and transparency – and became Pennsylvania’s first public official to publicly post all of my expenses online. I returned unused office expenses to taxpayers and called on Harrisburg leaders to do the same. When I ran for Congress in 2020, our team came close to defeating Scott Perry and putting the people of central Pennsylvania ahead of partisan politics and the special interests -- and now I’m considering a rematch next year. Rep. Perry is a danger to Pennsylvanians and Americans across the country, and it’s time for him to go. So I’m asking you to help me in my fight against Rep. Perry so I can go to Congress and fight every day for you.
