{NAME}, Today is my final day serving as your Auditor General. The past 8 years have been the honor of my professional life and I am proud of how much we accomplished together. Over these two terms, our work led to meaningful reforms, from increased accountability for education funding so funds meant for teaching our children actually go to teaching our children, ending pharmacy "gag clauses" which will lower the cost of prescription drugs across our Commonwealth, to ending Pennsylvania's rape kit backlog which has led to justice for countless survivors and their families. Because of the work we have done, Pennsylvania is a safer, fairer, more equal place and I could not be more thankful for the support you gave me and my staff along the way. I am also grateful that while my time as your watchdog has come to a close, I will be succeeded by someone I trust will uphold the standards I have sought to live up to during my tenure, Tim DeFoor. He has my full faith and confidence and I ask that you give him yours as well. Thank you for the trust you put in me over these years, words cannot describe how much it's meant.
